Job description


The Manager of Finance will oversee all financial aspects of assigned facilities and is instrumental in driving financial strategy and planning. This position will serve as a member of the leadership team to provide analysis on new initiatives and business opportunities and will advise on impacts of risks and investments. This position will work directly with Centra's managers and administrators to provide financial data and analytics that drive business decisions at the systems level.
*This position will be mainly remote, but with the onsite expectation of 1 week per quarter. The initial two weeks of employment will be onsite as well.
*The ideal candidate will have finance experience in the medical practice setting, specifically in Ambulatory Care.
Responsibilities
  • Responsible for monthly/quarterly review of financial results and key operating metrics.
  • Work with operational leaders to identify, develop, and maintain key operating metrics to assess departmental and business line performance.
  • Assist in development of labor standards, review labor benchmarks, and communicate ideas or recommendations for continuous improvement of labor management.
  • Develop business plans to support proposed new initiatives, capital requests, and other strategic opportunities.
  • Maintain constant awareness of financial position and articulate performance trends; where needed, provide recommendations for sustainment of cost management best practices.
  • Assist management in annual budgeting process and monitor monthly budget variances and anomalies.
  • Assist in developing short- and long-term financial goals and objectives, including revenue enhancements and cost savings initiatives.
  • Communicate regularly and effectively with service line leaders about financial performance.
  • Demonstrate knowledge of Centra's lean management system, continually working to help leaders achieve performance improvement.
  • Keep abreast of current healthcare regulations and reform to ensure financial and operational information is available to meet future healthcare needs.
  • Communicate ideas, recommendations, and job-related information in a clear, concise, timely, and courteous manner.
  • May perform other duties as assigned or requested and job specification can be modified or updated at any time.

Qualifications
Required Education: Bachelor's degree with major in accounting, finance or similar field
Preferred Education: Master's degree in accounting, finance or similar field
Required Experience: Minimum of (2) years' experience in accounting or finance field. Mature approach to problem solving for all types of issues. Ability to work effectively across organizational lines of responsibility. Detailed knowledge of reimbursement, billing, and financial reporting.
Preferred Certifications & Licensures: HFMA or CPA certification
Salary Range: $74,393.00 - $119,029.00
