In this essential role, you will deliver high-quality mental health services to individuals and families, fostering resilience and growth through personalized counseling and advocacy. Your expertise will play a critical part in our mission to cater to the mental health needs of our community, particularly within the hospice context.

About the Organization

At Keck Health Care LLC, located in beautiful Spokane, Washington, we are committed to serving and uplifting our community through advocacy, education, and a robust range of direct services. Our organization prides itself on creating sustainable change, championing social justice, and empowering individuals, families, and marginalized groups. By integrating comprehensive approaches to mental health, we tackle social issues and promote equity, thereby strengthening community bonds.

Work Environment

This position operates in a fully remote setting, allowing you the flexibility to deliver mental health services from your home while remaining connected to a supportive team dedicated to social justice and community welfare. Utilizing telehealth platforms, you will engage with clients, colleagues, and community partners, ensuring continuity of care and an integrated approach to addressing social and emotional challenges. Regular business hours will be your primary schedule, with some evening and weekend commitments for special events and programs. Our commitment to your professional and personal well-being includes a competitive annual salary range of USD 75,000 to 100,000, as well as a sign-on bonus.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct thorough assessments to identify the unique social, emotional, and psychological needs of clients.
  • Provide tailored and evidence-based individual and group counseling for clients grappling with various personal challenges, ranging from grief and loss to chronic illness.
  • Develop and implement comprehensive service plans that reflect clients' objectives while aligning with their psychosocial needs.
  • Advocate passionately for clientsโ€™ rights and access to essential resources, actively addressing barriers to mental health care.
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to enhance program development and service delivery, ensuring holistic approaches to care.
  • Engage in community outreach activities to foster partnerships that can amplify our mission and service capabilities.
  • Contribute to program evaluation and grant writing, ensuring our initiatives are impactful and financially sustainable.
Patient Population / Client Focus

You will primarily support clients in hospice care, which involves sensitive and profound issues associated with end-of-life situations. This specific focus requires not only clinical skills but also a deep understanding of the emotional landscapes associated with grief, loss, and the unique challenges faced by individuals and families in this context. Your work will directly contribute to enhancing the quality of life for clients during one of the most critical times in their lives.

Qualifications
  • A Masterโ€™s degree in Social Work from an accredited institution.
  • Active state licensure as a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker (LICSW).
  • Strong communication, empathy, and organizational abilities to build rapport and foster connections with clients.
  • In-depth knowledge of social justice frameworks, advocacy practices, and the principles of trauma-informed care.
Preferred Experience
  • Prior experience in a nonprofit environment or with hospice/palliative care settings is preferred.
  • Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with a range of stakeholders, including community organizations and government agencies.
  • Proficiency in electronic health record systems and telehealth methodologies for efficient client management.
Compensation and Benefits

Along with a competitive salary, we offer a comprehensive benefits package that includes medical, dental, and vision insurance for you and your family. Additionally, we provide retirement plans with employer contributions to support your long-term financial security. Enjoy generous paid time off, including vacation and personal days, allowing for a healthy work-life balance. We also prioritize your professional growth, offering opportunities for continued education and development within the nonprofit sector.
