  • Oversee and review designs and reports prepared by junior engineers, EITs, and CAD staff, ensuring accuracy and constructability.
  • Manage project tasks, sub-consultants, and schedules, maintaining communication with clients and leadership throughout project delivery.
  • Track project budgets, generate accurate billing, and ensure deliverables meet client expectations within established scope, schedule and budget.
  • Lead and mentor junior staff, providing technical guidance, training, and professional development support.
  • Identify training needs, participate in continuing education, and promote knowledge sharing across teams.
  • Support business development through client engagement, proposal development, participation in industry events, and cross-marketing opportunities.
  • Demonstrate self-management and professionalism by maintaining open communication, timely responses to clients & team members, resolving project challenges proactively, and promoting company mission and values.

What qualifications are required for this role?

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering or related field required.
  • Registered Professional Civil Engineer (P.E.) in the State of Arizona.
  • Minimum of five (5) years of water/wastewater engineering experience.
  • Minimum of two (2) years of experience as a project manager in engineering.
  • Experience in proposal development and client communications preferred.
  • Strong leadership, mentoring, and communication skills.
  • Advanced technical knowledge in water and wastewater systems design.
  • Proven project management and client coordination abilities.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite; experience with modeling software preferred.

The wage range for this position is $109,000 - $145,000 annually.

What does WestLand offer you?

  • Comprehensive benefits package: 9 paid holidays, healthcare benefits, PTO, and 401k matching for full-time employees. Flexible work schedules and remote/hybrid possibilities for most roles.
  • Multidisciplinary environment: Unique, creative, and challenging projects where you can develop your vision of clientele and work with industry leaders daily.
  • Success-oriented environment: Two-way mentorship, financial incentives to publish work, tuition reimbursement, and a career-path structure to help you reach the next steps in your career.
