This can include tasks such as site analysis, permitting, infrastructure planning, and coordination with stakeholders, all performed without being physically present on the property. Remote land developers often collaborate with local contractors and use technologies like GIS mapping, drones, and virtual meetings to oversee projects effectively. This approach has become more popular with advances in digital technology, making it possible to manage projects efficiently from anywhere.

What are some common challenges faced by professionals in remote land development, and how can they be addressed?

Professionals in remote land development often face challenges such as coordinating with team members and stakeholders across different locations, managing site assessments without frequent on-site visits, and navigating varying local regulations. Managing Partner & President, Private Equity Growth & Strategy (Remote)

Urrly

Phoenix, AZ • Remote

$150K - $200K/yr

Full-time

Re-posted 7 days ago

Job description

Managing Partner & President, Private Equity Growth & Strategy

Urrly is hiring a Managing Partner & President to help build the company that gives PE-backed lower-middle-market companies a faster, higher-signal, more rational way to hire critical leaders.

This is a company-building seat. You will help Urrly build trusted relationships across the lower-middle-market private equity ecosystem, deliver unmatched client outcomes, and scale the operating model required to make Urrly the new hiring standard for PE-backed companies.

We specialize in finding AI-fluent step-up leaders: proven #2s, functional operators, and high-agency executives who are ready for the #1 seat and can rethink how a function should operate in an AI-native world. These leaders are not limited to the old playbook. They use tools like Claude Code, Codex, Cursor, and other AI systems to redesign workflows, improve decision-making, increase throughput, reduce operational drag, and build faster, leaner, more scalable functions.

Your job is to help turn that wedge into the default hiring model for PE-backed companies.

Early on, you should expect to get close to the work: intake, role definition, client calibration, candidate assessment, and selected searches. That is not the ceiling of the role. It is how you learn what to scale and how you ensure the model delivers customer outcomes no traditional search firm can match.

Longer term, your mandate is to help build Urrly into an AI-native hiring platform where companies move from hiring need to objectively qualified candidates in days, not weeks.

What Makes You a Strong Fit

We are looking for someone who already understands the lower-middle-market PE ecosystem and can credibly build relationships across sponsors, operating partners, portfolio executives, and the advisors who serve them.

Relevant backgrounds may include:

  • Management consulting, especially private equity, value creation, commercial diligence, transformation, or operating improvement
  • Investment banking, sponsor coverage, M&A, capital markets, or transaction advisory
  • Professional services firms that regularly serve lower-middle-market PE firms and their portfolio companies
  • Talent advisory or executive search, especially if you can think beyond the traditional search playbook

The strongest candidates will bring:

  • An active PE network that can be reengaged, deepened, and converted into commercial opportunities
  • Clear evidence of business development, relationship ownership, account expansion, or revenue creation
  • Strong judgment around talent, leadership, value creation, and operating execution
  • Practical AI fluency, including regular use of tools like Claude Code, Cursor, Codex, or similar systems
  • Crisp communication, sharp questions, fast synthesis, and strong executive presence
  • Willingness to get close to the work early: outreach, intake, candidate assessment, client calibration, selected searches, events, and process improvement

We are looking for someone with unusually high standards, intense ownership, and the work ethic required to help build something exceptional. The right person wants to win big, enjoys the pace and pressure of company-building, and brings positive energy, humility, and genuine care for clients, candidates, and teammates along the way.

Compensation and Ownership

Base salary is expected to land in the $150,000$200,000 range, with flexibility for an exceptional candidate. This role also includes a meaningful performance-based bonus opportunity and significant equity designed for someone helping build Urrly into a much larger company.

Apply

If you want to help build the next major company in hiring and own a meaningful piece of the outcome, apply now and you'll get a response within 24 hours.
