Charge Entry Specialist (Remote)

100% Remote

Pay: $20/hour (Contract – 12 months)

Schedule: Full-time after training (7 AM – 5 PM MST)


About the Role

We are seeking a highly detail-oriented Charge Entry Specialist to support a fast-growing, mission-driven healthcare organization. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a data-heavy, structured environment and enjoys working with large datasets, ensuring accuracy and efficiency.

You’ll play a critical role in supporting charge entry and claims submission processes by validating and managing data that directly impacts patient care and operational success.


Key Responsibilities
  • Perform high-volume data entry and data validation
  • Create and maintain weekly and monthly reports
  • Identify and resolve data discrepancies and gaps
  • Manipulate large datasets (30,000+ rows) in Excel
  • Combine, match, and reconcile data across multiple systems
  • Use formulas, conditional formatting, and pivot tables to analyze data
  • Build and maintain consistent reporting processes
  • Support claims submission through accurate data preparation
  • Troubleshoot and resolve data-related issues independently

Required Qualifications
  • Strong experience in data entry, administrative, or clerical work
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (formulas, pivot tables, data matching, formatting)
  • Ability to take raw datasets and independently structure and clean data
  • Strong typing skills (60+ WPM with high accuracy)
  • Exceptional attention to detail and process adherence
  • Comfortable working with high-volume, repetitive tasks
  • Ability to work across multiple systems simultaneously
  • Tech-savvy with strong remote work capabilities

Excel assessment required (must score 94% or higher)


Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience in charge entry, billing, or claims processing
  • Background in healthcare or revenue cycle management
  • Familiarity with data migration and reconciliation processes

Work Environment & Requirements
  • 100% remote (optional Denver office access)
  • Must have a private, HIPAA-compliant workspace
  • Must provide:
    • Dual monitors
    • Mac-compatible keyboard and mouse
  • Training: ~4 weeks (starting at 8 AM MST, part-time)
