This is a remote position.

The Accounting Data Clerk plays a critical role in maintaining the accuracy, integrity, and timeliness of financial data across the organization. Reporting to the Accounting Manager, this position is responsible for processing, verifying, and reconciling financial records using advanced tools such as QuickBooks, SAP NetWeaver AS, and Microsoft Excel. The ideal candidate will ensure compliance with internal controls and accounting standards by performing regular reconciliations, managing payroll data, and supporting month-end and year-end close processes. With a strong analytical mindset and proficiency in data manipulation techniquesโ€”including pivot tables, VLOOKUP, and macrosโ€”this role supports financial reporting, audit readiness, and operational efficiency. The Accounting Data Clerk is a key contributor to the accuracy of financial statements and the overall health of the organizationโ€™s accounting function.



Responsibilities
  • Perform daily, weekly, and monthly account reconciliations across general ledger accounts, bank statements, and vendor/customer ledgers.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records using QuickBooks and SAP NetWeaver AS, ensuring data integrity and compliance with accounting policies.
  • Prepare and analyze financial reports using Microsoft Excel, leveraging advanced functions such as VLOOKUP, pivot tables, and macros to automate data processing.
  • Support payroll processing by verifying employee hours, benefits, deductions, and tax withholdings; ensure timely and accurate disbursement of wages.
  • Assist in month-end and year-end closing activities, including journal entry preparation, account analysis, and reconciliation documentation.
