POSITION / TITLE: Forward Deployed Engineer
LOCATION: SAN MATEO, CA / NYC, NY / ORLANDO, FL / REMOTE US
POSITION SUMMARY:
We are looking for a Forward Deployed Engineer who seamlessly bridges deep technical mastery with elite executive presence to solve complex enterprise problems alongside our largest customers. This is not a traditional solutions consulting role. You will be embedded with Fortune 500 leadership and technical teams, working hands-on to architect, build, and scale agentic AI solutions that transform how these organizations operate.
You are a rare hybrid: an exceptional engineer who can effectively & professionally command a room of CIOs, CTOs, and enterprise architects, articulate a compelling vision, and then immediately roll up your sleeves to build the solution. You excel at translating cutting-edge AI capabilities into clear, high-impact business strategies for the C-suite, while maintaining the technical authority to lead deep-dive engineering reviews. You think from first principles, thrive in ambiguity, and treat every customer engagement as both a technical breakthrough and a masterclass in strategic stakeholder alignment.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • C-Suite & Enterprise Architect Engagement: Serve as the trusted technical authority and primary advisor to customer CIOs, CTOs, and enterprise architects. Lead high-stakes design reviews, present sophisticated architecture blueprints, and command confidence at the executive table.
  • Executive Communication & Technical Translation: Translate complex, ambiguous AI capabilities and multi-system orchestration patterns into clear, value-driven narratives for both deeply technical engineers and non-technical business leaders.
  • High-Impact Technical Workshops: Design and facilitate strategic technical workshops, executive briefings, and proof-of-concept demonstrations that de-risk complex AI implementations and align cross-functional stakeholders.
  • Hands-On Architecture & Engineering: Design, prototype, and implement solutions using the Kore.ai Agent Platform. Write code, build integrations, optimize performance, and debug production issues. You don't just present architecture diagrams-you build the system.
  • Strategic Technical Due Diligence: Partner with executive sales leaders on high-value engagements, bringing immense technical credibility to the table through custom demos, architecture assessments, and strategic risk mitigation.
  • Global Stakeholder Alignment: Coordinate across cross-functional, distributed implementation teams and global time zones, ensuring seamless execution, flawless delivery, and consistent alignment with the customer's executive roadmap.
  • Bridge Product & Customer Reality: Synthesize high-level enterprise feedback and real-world deployment insights into actionable product requirements, influencing our long-term platform roadmap.

MUST-HAVE REQUIREMENTS:
  • Minimum 10 years of hands-on engineering experience in enterprise software, platform engineering, or solutions architecture required.
  • Executive Interfacing: Significant professional experience working directly with Fortune 500 / Global 2000 customers, with a proven track record of regularly interfacing with and influencing CTOs, CIOs, and infrastructure executives required.
  • Hands-on technical proficiency across multiple domains: APIs, microservices, cloud infrastructure (AWS/Azure/GCP), distributed systems, and enterprise integration patterns required.
  • AI/ML Expertise: Previous hands-on experience with agent frameworks (Kore.ai Platform, Lang Chain, Lang Graph, AutoGen, Crew AI) or multi-agent orchestration patterns, alongside ML systems (LLMs, conversational AI, or agentic applications) required.
  • Enterprise Scale: Deep understanding of scaled enterprise implementations-moving AI solutions from pilot to multi-region, enterprise-wide rollouts (including performance engineering, high availability, and disaster recovery).
  • Voice AI & Contact Center Expertise: Deep understanding of voice call automation, IVR modernization, speech-to-text/text-to-speech pipelines, telephony integrations (SIP/WebRTC), and end-to-end voice bot architectures in enterprise environments required.
  • Professional experience at top-tier enterprise platform vendors (e.g., Palantir, AWS, Salesforce, ServiceNow, Pega) in high-touch, solutions-facing roles required.
  • Travel: currently reside within an hour of a major US airport and willing to travel as business needs required.
  • Languages: Fully fluent in English required.
  • Executive Presence & Presentation Mastery: Exceptional ability to command a room, handle tough questions from C-suite executives with poise, and articulate the business value of deep technical architectures required.
  • The "Builder-Presenter" Hybrid: A unique blend of strong engineering execution and sophisticated communication. You are not just a presenter-you are an engineer who builds what they pitch.
  • Strategic Problem Solving: A track record of walking into ambiguous, highly political, or complex corporate environments, establishing technical consensus, and delivering pragmatic solutions required.
  • First-Principles Thinking: Ability to question legacy enterprise assumptions, challenge the status quo, and guide customer executives toward innovative, future-proof AI strategies.

EDUCATION QUALIFICATION:
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical field required.
  • Master's degree or an equivalent depth of technical and business acumen preferred.

Depending on specific professional experience and geographical location of individuals, the salary for this position ranges from $180,000 - $230,000. Additional wage/bonus/commission and benefit details will be shared during the formal interview process for this full-time employment opportunity.
