Stellar Solutions, a nationally recognized “Great Place To Work”, has exciting opportunities providing Engineering solutions for innovative new-entrant space companies, as well as established space systems manufacturers, commercial space system operators and service providers, and other industry stakeholders including investors.

At Stellar Solutions, we offer talented, energetic, and immediately productive resources to satisfy our customers’ critical needs in systems engineering and integration, mission operations, program management and strategic planning. We are a leading service and expertise provider for high-tech commercial ventures, spanning communications, earth observation and remote sensing systems and data products, to the infrastructures that support earth orbiting and beyond earth orbit businesses.
Stellar Solutions is seeking a Mission Manager to lead the successful integration and lifecycle management of mission partners onto the R2C2 platform. This role blends technical understanding, project management discipline, and stakeholder engagement to help mission partners move from onboarding through sustainment with clarity, accountability, and mission focus. The ideal candidate will be comfortable navigating complex technical and programmatic requirements within an Agile delivery environment.

The Mission Manager serves as a central integration lead for mission partners, ensuring requirements, schedules, testing activities, risks, and stakeholder communications remain aligned across the program lifecycle. This role requires close coordination with government teams, platform teams, engineering stakeholders, onboarding specialists, and mission partners to drive readiness and support successful mission outcomes.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Lead and manage the lifecycle of mission partner integration, from initial onboarding through sustainment.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for mission partners and guide them through the integration process.
  • Develop and manage onboarding artifacts, including welcome packages, Memorandums of Understanding, Service Level Agreements, and user agreements.
  • Oversee knowledge management repository setup and initial account access for new mission partners.
  • Lead requirements traceability for mission partners, ensuring needs are documented, tracked, and addressed.
  • Manage and adjudicate change requests related to software, cyber, and system architecture.
  • Define and manage mission-partner-specific ground/repeater requirements, graphics, issues, risks, roadmaps, and schedules.
  • Lead and participate in Mission Partner Ground Integrated Product Teams, working groups, Technical Exchange Meetings, and gated reviews.
  • Participate in Agile planning, execution, and reporting ceremonies while maintaining mission partner program status in JIRA and Confluence.
  • Oversee mission testing activities, including Factory Acceptance Test, Site Acceptance Test, End-to-End testing, and Launch Baseline Compatibility Test.
  • Ensure test plans, objectives, and reports are completed and approved through appropriate engineering review boards.
  • Lead mission readiness efforts, including training, certification, mission rehearsals, and Launch and Early Orbit support.

Required Qualifications

  • Experience managing mission partner, stakeholder, customer, or user integration activities across a program lifecycle.
  • Technical understanding sufficient to coordinate software, cyber, system architecture, testing, and mission readiness activities.
  • Project management expertise, including schedule, roadmap, risk, issue, and change request management.
  • Experience supporting requirements documentation, requirements traceability, and mission-partner-specific needs management.
  • Experience working within an Agile framework, including participation in planning, execution, reporting, and metrics tracking.
  • Experience using JIRA and Confluence to maintain program status, coordination artifacts, or technical documentation.
  • Strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills, including experience working across engineering, program, and mission partner teams.
  • Ability to support or lead working groups, Technical Exchange Meetings, Integrated Product Teams, and gated reviews.

Desired Qualifications

  • Experience supporting mission testing activities such as Factory Acceptance Test, Site Acceptance Test, End-to-End testing, or Launch Baseline Compatibility Test.
  • Experience supporting engineering review boards, test readiness activities, mission rehearsals, training, certification, or Launch and Early Orbit operations.
  • Experience coordinating with system engineers, software engineers, stakeholder engagement leads, onboarding specialists, and platform teams in a complex technical environment.

Clearance & Additional Requirements

  • Ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance, as required.
