Major Function

The Territory Sales Manager is responsible for increasing market penetration, sales revenue, and specification activity within the assigned territory in alignment with company sales objectives and marketing strategies. The position will focus on driving growth through distributor partnerships, builder relationships, specification development, and end-user engagement throughout North Texas, Oklahoma, and Arkansas, with the majority of activity centered in the Dallas-Fort Worth market.


Key Responsibilities


Territory Sales & Business Development

  • Develop and execute territory sales plans to achieve revenue, market share, and profitability objectives.

  • Identify, prospect, and secure new business opportunities with builders, plumbing contractors, wholesalers, developers, and commercial end users.

  • Maintain and expand relationships with key accounts across the assigned territory.

  • Manage territory performance against established sales goals, KPIs, and strategic initiatives.

Specification & Project Development

  • Develop and maintain relationships with architects, designers, plumbing engineers, developers, and other specification influencers.

  • Promote product specifications on residential, multifamily, hospitality, higher education, healthcare, and commercial construction projects.

  • Track and manage project opportunities from specification through project completion.

Builder & Channel Management

  • Build strong relationships with plumbing wholesalers, luxury kitchen and bath dealers, builders, contractors, and distribution partners.

  • Conduct product presentations, demonstrations, training sessions, and continuing education opportunities for customers and industry professionals.

  • Collaborate with channel partners to maximize market penetration and product awareness.

Sales Analysis & Reporting

  • Utilize CRM and business intelligence tools to maintain accurate account activity, pipeline management, and sales forecasting.

  • Analyze territory sales performance, market trends, and customer activity to identify growth opportunities.

  • Provide timely reporting and actionable insights to management.

Customer Service & Account Support

  • Investigate and resolve customer concerns, product issues, and service-related matters in a professional and timely manner.

  • Maintain current knowledge of product offerings, pricing, availability, competitive activity, and market trends.

  • Monitor customer financial health and communicate any concerns regarding creditworthiness or account status.

Industry Engagement

  • Participate in industry associations, trade organizations, trade shows, and networking events to enhance company visibility and generate business opportunities.

  • Represent the company professionally while promoting products and brand value throughout the territory.

Location & Travel Requirements
  • Location: Must reside in the Dallas-Fort Worth Metroplex. Remote/Field-based: 70% focus on DFW Travel: Regular travel throughout North Texas, Oklahoma, and Arkansas is required, including overnight travel. Additional travel for trade shows, customer events, and company meetings is required as needed.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Sales, Marketing, Business Administration, Construction Management, or a related field (equivalent industry experience will be considered).

  • Minimum of five (5) years of successful outside sales experience in the builder products, plumbing, construction products, building materials, or related industries.

  • Proven track record of achieving and exceeding sales goals within a defined territory.

  • Experience developing relationships with builders, plumbing contractors, wholesalers, developers, architects, and designers.

  • Strong presentation, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.

  • Proficiency with CRM software and Microsoft Office Suite.

  • Valid driver’s license and ability to travel extensively.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Plumbing industry experience strongly preferred.

  • Experience selling premium plumbing fixtures, kitchen and bath products, water conservation solutions, or related building products.

  • Existing relationships within the DFW builder, plumbing wholesale, contractor, and specification communities.

  • Experience working with national and regional home builders, multifamily developers, and commercial construction firms.

  • Experience using SAP CRM, Salesforce, Tableau, or similar sales and business intelligence platforms.

Ideal Candidate Profile

The ideal candidate is a highly motivated sales professional with at least five years of experience selling plumbing products, building materials, or related construction products. They possess strong relationships within the Dallas-Fort Worth builder and plumbing community, are comfortable calling on both distribution and specification accounts, and have demonstrated success driving growth across a multi-state territory.
