Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct comprehensive psychosocial assessments to identify clients’ mental health needs, strengths, and obstacles, utilizing evidence-based methodologies.
  • Provide individualized, family, and group therapy, incorporating tailored interventions based on each client's unique cultural context and personal journey.
  • Implement evidence-based therapeutic techniques such as cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), motivational interviewing, and family systems therapy to optimize client outcomes.
  • Design detailed treatment plans that outline goals, therapeutic interventions, and mechanisms for tracking progress.
  • Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, including psychiatrists and nurses, to create integrated care approaches for clients requiring holistic support.
  • Provide crisis intervention services, conducting risk assessments and developing safety plans to address acute situations effectively.
  • Advocate for clients' rights and access to community resources, ensuring that they receive the comprehensive support necessary for their recovery.
  • Engage in community outreach and education initiatives to promote mental health awareness within our service areas.
Patient Population / Client Focus

You will be working with a diverse client demographic encompassing various ages, backgrounds, and mental health challenges. By focusing on culturally competent care, you will address the unique needs of each individual and empower them to reach their personal mental health goals.

Qualifications
  • A Master's degree in Social Work from an accredited institution.
  • Active licensure as a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker (LICSW) in the state of Vermont.
  • Demonstrated knowledge and skills in cultural competence, effectively engaging with a diverse range of clients.
  • Exceptional communication skills, with the ability to empathetically and effectively convey information to clients and team members.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities, capable of navigating complex situations in a fast-paced environment.
Preferred Experience
  • Minimum of 3 years of clinical experience in a community mental health or related setting, with a preference for telehealth experience.
  • Experience collaborating within multidisciplinary teams to coordinate client care and treatment planning.
