Remote Kennel Assistant information

How to be a remote kennel assistant?

To become a remote kennel assistant, you should have good communication skills, basic knowledge of animal care, and the ability to follow instructions remotely. Typically, this role involves tasks like scheduling, client communication, and coordinating supplies, often requiring familiarity with email and scheduling software. Some positions may require prior experience with animals or customer service, but many roles are entry-level and flexible for remote work.

Is being a remote kennel assistant worth it?

Remote kennel assistant roles are uncommon, as the job typically requires physical presence to care for animals and maintain facilities. If available, remote positions may involve administrative tasks like scheduling or customer communication, which can offer flexibility but may have limited hands-on animal care. The value depends on the specific job responsibilities and personal preferences for in-person versus remote work.

What skills do you need to be a remote kennel assistant?

A remote kennel assistant needs strong communication skills, the ability to follow detailed instructions, and basic knowledge of animal care. Organizational skills and familiarity with scheduling or record-keeping tools can also be beneficial for managing tasks remotely.

Job description

Diverse Experiences. A Shared Passion.

At Arkestro, we are a team of dedicated professionals with backgrounds in life sciences, healthcare software technology development, and the provider setting. While we approach our work from different angles, we are united by our commitment to reducing financial and administrative burdens across the patient access journey in order to improve access to care and combat financial toxicity at both the patient level and the provider level.

Administrative Assistant (Remote)

We are seeking a highly driven administrative assistant to join our growing team and support Adparo, our expanding services division. The ideal candidate is a detail-oriented strategic thinker, is extraordinarily adaptable to a fast-paced environment, and has a knack for creative problem-solving.

For the right candidate, this role should provide an exciting glimpse into the true heart of a fast-growing start-up. If you can take initiative, can use both your analytical and your creative abilities to make sound decisions, and have the desire to solve challenges, we want to hear from you!

What You'll Do:

  • Provide a broad range of administrative support functions that help the team be more productive and efficient
  • Coordinate meetings, including scheduling and calendar management, attendee management, materials preparation, and follow-up and follow-through
  • Provide options and manage travel plans for leaders and team
  • Manage processes to drive efficiency in planning, reporting, and communication within the team
  • Provide outstanding customer service to internal and external stakeholders
  • Perform special assignments and other work on an as-needed basis
  • Act with a high level of integrity; handle confidential and sensitive information with discretion

About You:

  • Passionate about being part of a team that delivers meaningful results
  • A roll-up-your-sleeves, "get in the weeds" individual
  • Self-starter who can operate independently
  • Incredibly detail oriented, thoughtful, and proactive
  • Consistently approachable and helpful
  • Know how to find common ground with leadership and peers alike to build relationships
  • Communicate clearly, succinctly, and effectively, in both speaking and writing
  • Have the ability/desire to thrive in a service-oriented culture
  • Driven to make a difference
  • Love to have fun!
