Overview

We are seeking a Software Engineer to join a team responsible for developing and supporting transaction-heavy, event-driven applications. This role will contribute across the full application stack, including frontend development, backend services, REST APIs, databases, integrations, testing, and production support.

The ideal candidate has 25 years of professional software development experience with a strong foundation in .NET/C#, React, JavaScript/TypeScript, and SQL Server. This opportunity is well suited for an engineer who can contribute hands-on, take ownership of assigned work, troubleshoot effectively, and continue developing their technical skills while working alongside experienced engineers.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop, enhance, test, and support web applications using .NET/C#, React, JavaScript/TypeScript, and SQL Server.

  • Develop and support backend services, REST APIs, and system integrations.

  • Build and maintain frontend functionality using React and modern JavaScript/TypeScript.

  • Write and troubleshoot SQL queries and resolve application-related database and data issues.

  • Investigate and resolve application, API, integration, and data-related problems.

  • Support production applications and contribute to application stability and reliability.

  • Participate in testing and validation of application changes across interconnected systems.

  • Collaborate with engineers, business partners, and other technical teams throughout the software development lifecycle.

  • Participate in code reviews, troubleshooting, and continuous improvement efforts.

  • Contribute to application modernization involving both legacy and newer technologies.

  • Take ownership of assigned development and support work while seeking technical guidance when appropriate.

  • Learn and apply new technologies and development practices as the application environment evolves.

Required Qualifications

  • 25 years of professional software engineering or development experience involving web applications, APIs, databases, or enterprise software solutions.

  • Hands-on development experience with .NET and C#.

  • Experience developing frontend applications or functionality using React.

  • Working knowledge of JavaScript and/or TypeScript.

  • Experience with SQL Server, including writing queries and troubleshooting application-related data issues.

  • Experience developing, consuming, or supporting REST APIs.

  • Understanding of full-stack application development and how frontend, backend, API, and database components interact.

  • Experience troubleshooting software or application issues.

  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.

  • Ability to work effectively as part of a collaborative development team.

  • Ability to learn new technologies, adapt to changing priorities, and take ownership of assigned work.

  • Strong communication skills and attention to detail.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience working in an Agile software development environment.

  • Experience supporting transaction-heavy or enterprise business applications.

  • Exposure to event-driven applications or system integrations.

  • Experience with application testing and validation.

  • Exposure to legacy application modernization.

  • Exposure to cloud, DevOps, CI/CD, or automated deployment practices.

How to Apply

Qualified candidates are encouraged to submit a resume for confidential consideration. Candidates with hands-on .NET/C#, React, SQL Server, and REST API experience who are interested in continuing to grow as full-stack software engineers are encouraged to apply.
