Job description

Role: Angular Developer

Location: New York City 3 days/week onsite (Need local candidates only)

We are seeking an experienced Angular Developer to join our technology team at a leading investment bank. The successful candidate will design, develop, and maintain high-performance web applications that support critical investment banking functions, including trading, risk management, portfolio management, market data, research, operations, and client reporting.

You will work closely with business stakeholders, product managers, UX designers, architects, backend engineers, and QA teams to deliver secure, scalable, and intuitive digital solutions in a highly regulated financial-services environment.

Key Responsibilities

Design, develop, test, and maintain responsive web applications using Angular and TypeScript.

Build reusable, scalable, and high-performance UI components.

Integrate front-end applications with RESTful APIs and backend services.

Collaborate with business analysts and investment banking stakeholders to understand functional requirements.

Translate business and technical requirements into effective software solutions.

Develop dashboards, analytical tools, workflow applications, and client-facing platforms.

Implement state management using technologies such as NgRx, RxJS, or equivalent solutions.

Ensure applications meet high standards for performance, security, accessibility, and usability.

Write clean, maintainable, well-documented, and testable code.

Develop unit, integration, and end-to-end tests using tools such as Jasmine, Karma, Jest, Cypress, or Playwright.

Troubleshoot production issues and provide timely resolution of defects.

Participate in code reviews, technical design discussions, and agile ceremonies.

Contribute to continuous integration and continuous delivery pipelines.

Follow enterprise security, data privacy, audit, and regulatory requirements.

Support application modernization, technical debt reduction, and platform enhancements.

Mentor junior developers and contribute to engineering best practices.

Required Qualifications and Experience

Bachelor's degree in computer science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or a related discipline.

14+ years of professional experience in front-end development.

Experience working with Investment Banks for 5+ years is MUST

Strong commercial experience with:
