Financial Analyst
Location: Remote within the United States
Work Arrangement: Remote with 25% travel primarily to Arlington, VA headquarters
Travel: Approximately 25% within the United States
About This Opportunity
Join Raytheon-Rafael Area Protection Systems (R2S) Joint Venture as a Financial Analyst and play a vital role in supporting a dynamic, rapidly growing organization with a noble mission on a global scale. This is a key position where you'll deliver critical financial analysis and reporting that directly influences leadership decisions and program success. Working alongside Program Directors, Control Account Managers, and Integrated Production Team Leads, you'll be part of a collaborative, mission-focused environment where your contributions truly matter.
What You Will Do
  • Deliver comprehensive program financial updates including budgets, funding, revenue recognition, project accounting, invoicing, and cash collection in partnership with the Program Manager
  • Generate and deliver external USG financial Contract Data Requirements Lists (CDRLs) including Integrated Program Management Data Analysis Reports (IPMDAR) and Contract Funds Status Reports (CFSR)
  • Support pricing activities related to Requests for Proposal (RFP) and Engineering Change Proposals (ECP)
  • Collaborate with supply chain and program teams to align cash flows, milestones, and execution schedules for successful contract execution
  • Develop and support program-specific standards and process instructions for planning, scheduling, and financial controls
  • Support periodic Estimate at Complete (EAC) and baseline processes
  • Drive Contractual Earned Value Management Systems (EVMS) implementation and maintenance, including variance analysis, monthly Latest Revised Estimate (LRE) development, and comprehensive data analysis and reporting
  • Perform program control activities including monthly variance analysis interpretation and billing oversight
  • Provide proactive financial analysis of all project aspects, identifying risks that affect cost and schedule while recommending strategic alternatives to senior management
  • Support ad hoc tasks and analysis as required, performing all other position-related duties as assigned
Qualifications You Must Have
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or related field with 5+ years of relevant work experience in program finance-related roles (preferably supporting government contracts); OR an Advanced degree with 3+ years of relevant work experience
  • Previous program control experience
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office products, candidate must be proficient in Microsoft Excel and have the ability to build reports and charts for various requirements
  • Experience leading or supporting Earned Value Management System (EVMS) deliverables and requirements
  • Working knowledge of Cost Accounting Standards (CAS), Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP), and FAR/DFARS standard clauses
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with strong interpersonal abilities
  • U.S. citizenship (required, as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access the financial management system due to government contractual requirements)
