Technical Sr Developer: Guidewire InsuranceNow (ACX)
Remote- USA
Contract role
Must Have's: Guidewire InsuranceNow, Java, XML, JQuery, API SOAP/REST
Core Responsibilities
Technical Leadership

• Serve as the technical authority for all ACX INOW configuration and enhancements
• Lead configuration and implementation of rate filings, product versions, and underwriting rule changes
• Provide design direction for new features and system enhancements
• Ensure solutions align with architecture, security, and integration standards
• Own technical quality across development lifecycle
InsuranceNow Expertise
• Deep hands-on configuration within Guidewire InsuranceNow (ACX)
• Experience with:
o Ratebook & pricing configuration
o Product model changes
o State-specific filings
o Underwriting workflows
o Business rules and forms configuration
• Ability to assess impacts of product changes across jurisdictions
Cross-Functional Collaboration
• Partner closely with:
o Product Management & Business Analysts
o Business stakeholders
o QA & Release Management
o Architecture & Security
• Translate business requirements into technically sound configurations
• Challenge unclear requirements with confidence and clarity
• Represent technical trade-offs in steering or planning conversations
Delivery & Quality Ownership
• Review designs, configuration changes, and code

Required Qualifications
• 7+ years of Property & Casualty insurance systems experience
• 5+ years hands-on Guidewire InsuranceNow (ACX) experience
• Demonstrated experience implementing:
o Rate filings
o Multi-state product changes
o Underwriting configuration
o Product versioning within InsuranceNow
• Strong understanding of Personal, Commercial Lines domain and UW, Claims and Billing
• Experience leading small delivery teams or pods
• Onshore U.S.-based resource (required)
• Exceptional communication skills with ability to engage technical and non-technical audiences
• Confident, assertive presence in cross-functional discussions
Preferred Qualifications
• Experience in multi-state regulatory filings
• Familiarity with InsuranceNow API integrations
• Experience working in Agile pod-based delivery models
• Background working with distributed or vendor teams
• Prior mentorship or succession-planning experience
