Job description

Senior Technical Architect/Manager responsible for managing development resources and their activities as well as hands-on engagement in researching, designing, implementing, and managing software and data programs. Serving as senior technical subject expert and mentor, this role will lead efforts to configure and modify existing programs, as well as coordinate testing and evaluation of new programs. Routinely collaborates with business partners, product owners, and other technical teams across the organization.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead technical teams in evaluation, identification, development, and implementation of software solutions
  • Manage the successful delivery of all development work planned within each Sprint and Release, ensuring highquality output, timely execution and alignment with product and business objectives
  • Assign personnel and schedule workflow to facilitate projects 
  • Work with product owner to understand new requirements, technical design, coding, unit testing, defect resolution
  • Coordinate training of personnel in operation of information systems
  • Define, document and record designs and modifications of application or software
  • Locate and direct solutions for critical challenges involving software and hardware interface
  • Identify and resolve failures within software systems and programs
  • Design real-time and batch system interfaces and data enrichment pipelines in a cloud-native data ecosystem
  • Guide through all phases of software development life cycle (SDLC) and provide customer technical support solution analysis and design, balancing technical and business aspects
  • Troubleshoot production issues of all levels and severities, tracks progress from identification through resolution and ensure best practices are followed
  • Work with IT leadership, product owners, and business partners to design features for the cloud platform
  • Analyze KPIs measuring performance and effectiveness of data solution systems
  • Recommend changes in programs, routines, and quality control standards
  • Present recommendations to management relating to purchasing and installing hardware, software, and telecommunication equipment

Qualifications:

  • 9 years experience in a lead development role
  • 5 years experience in Java, Spring MVC - Framework, SQL Server, Git/Git Hub, Web Services/API, SQL
  • Strong working knowledge of Azure Data Factory and Databricks
  • Ability to multi-task and reprioritize in a dynamic environment
  • Skills in programming and systems analysis
  • Solid analytical skills - able to solve problems & interpret instructions in any form
  • Project management expertise in planning and completing large and small projects
  • Strong verbal, written, analytical and interpersonal skills
  • 3+ years experience in Websphere, IBM MQ, Drools, Azure Kubernetes Service
  • 5 years of leadership as a creative, competent team builder
  • Experience in Digital Transformation projects
