Position Overview
We are seeking IT Systems Analysts to support a federal client's program focused on modernizing report production, data operations, and automated reporting solutions.
This role sits at the intersection of systems analysis, software development, data management, and reporting. The successful candidate will help analyze business and technical requirements, improve data workflows, automate recurring processes, support reporting applications and dashboards, and develop solutions that improve the accuracy, efficiency, and accessibility of government reporting.
The technical environment includes PostgreSQL, Python, SQL, Tableau, GitLab, APIs, and modern web technologies.
Key Responsibilities
  • Analyze business and technical requirements and translate them into practical system solutions
  • Support modernization and automation of recurring report production processes
  • Develop and maintain automated data processing and reporting solutions
  • Work with PostgreSQL databases and other data sources to query, transform, validate, and manage data
  • Support data quality, data accessibility, and data integration initiatives
  • Develop and maintain dashboards, visualizations, and reporting solutions
  • Support modern web interfaces using technologies such as React, Angular, or similar frameworks
  • Evaluate existing workflows and identify opportunities for process improvement and automation
  • Perform system integration, testing, troubleshooting, and quality assurance
  • Develop requirements, technical documentation, standard operating procedures, and other system documentation
  • Work with stakeholders to understand reporting needs and translate them into technical requirements
  • Support recurring and ad hoc reporting requirements, including time-sensitive requests
  • Contribute to the ongoing enhancement and maintenance of production systems and automated solutions
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
  • At least 1 year of experience as an IT Systems Analyst or in a similar technical role
  • Professional experience supporting a U.S. federal government agency or federal government contractor
  • Experience with Python and Java
  • Strong PostgreSQL experience, including SQL querying and database development
  • Experience with modern web technologies such as React, Angular, or similar
  • Experience gathering requirements and performing technical or business process analysis
  • Experience with system documentation and/or standard operating procedures
  • U.S. citizenship required
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with Tableau or other business intelligence/reporting platforms
  • Experience with report automation and automated data processing
  • Experience with ETL, data integration, data transformation, or data quality
  • Experience supporting statistical or analytical reporting
  • Experience with APIs and system integration
