Job description

Software Engineer (Java & React) (Remote)
 
Our client is seeking an experienced Software Engineer to design, develop, and maintain scalable software solutions that solve complex business problems and improve system performance. This role will work closely with Product Managers and Technical Leads to design, build, test, and deploy modern applications supporting high-priority digital initiatives within the DPC product area.
The ideal candidate will have strong full-stack development experience with Java, Spring Boot, React, and JavaScript, along with experience deploying cloud-native applications on Microsoft Azure using modern DevOps practices.
 
This is a 40-hour per week, 6-month contract (possible extension), a remote role.
 
This is a W2 role as a Stage 4 Solutions employee. Health benefits and a 401K are offered.
 
Responsibilities:
●    Design, develop, test, and maintain scalable software applications using Java, Spring Boot, React, and JavaScript.
●    Collaborate with Product Managers, Technical Leads, and cross-functional teams to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
●    Build and maintain RESTful APIs and integrate with internal and external systems.
●    Develop secure, high-performance, and maintainable application code following engineering best practices.
●    Design and optimize database solutions using Microsoft SQL Server and PostgreSQL.
●    Participate in the complete software development lifecycle, including requirements gathering, development, testing, deployment, and production support.
●    Implement and maintain CI/CD pipelines using GitHub and ArgoCD.
●    Deploy and support applications in Microsoft Azure using Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS).
●    Troubleshoot production issues and optimize application performance, scalability, and reliability.
●    Participate in Agile ceremonies, code reviews, and technical design discussions.
 
Requirements:
●    Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience).
●    4+ years of software engineering experience developing enterprise applications.
●    Strong hands-on experience with:
○    Java
○    Spring Boot
○    React
○    JavaScript
●    Experience developing REST APIs and system integrations.
●    Strong experience with Microsoft SQL Server and PostgreSQL.
●    Experience using GitHub, ArgoCD, and CI/CD pipelines.
●    Experience deploying cloud applications on Microsoft Azure.
●    Experience with Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS).
●    Strong understanding of secure coding practices and application performance optimization.
●    Excellent analytical, troubleshooting, and communication skills.
•    Experience with API integrations, data flow automation, and secure, high-performance coding practices. 
•    Experience with Centric PLM, CLO, or other Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) platforms is preferred.
•    Experience working in Agile software development environments.
