Job description

VetsEZ is seeking an experienced Network Engineer to support a Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) project focused on VistA network infrastructure. The ideal candidate will work closely with other IT team technical engineers, maintain accurate network diagrams, and effectively communicate network architecture and status to the client as needed. The candidate must reside within the continental US.

Responsibilities Design, implement, and maintain the VistA network infrastructure in support of a government IT contract. Interface and collaborate with other technical engineers and cross-functional IT teams to ensure network reliability and performance. Develop, update, and manage network diagrams and related documentation.

Present network designs, changes, and status updates to the client and stakeholders in a clear and professional manner. Apply SAFe/Agile principles to plan and deliver network engineering tasks in an iterative environment. Monitor network performance, troubleshoot issues, and recommend improvements to optimize system uptime and security.

Support compliance with government security and operational standards. Take on additional tasks and responsibilities as needed to support team objectives and ensure the success of the project. Requirements Bachelor's degree in computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.

Proven experience as a Network Engineer supporting government IT contracts, preferably with VistA systems. Strong knowledge of network design, implementation, and troubleshooting. Proficiency in creating and maintaining network diagrams using industry-standard tools.

Demonstrated experience working in SAFe/Agile environments. Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to present technical information to non-technical audiences.
