What Are Remote Jobs That Require Italian Language Skills?

Remote jobs that use Italian include positions like online tutor, remote document review attorney, and bilingual customer service representative. In this field, you may use your mastery of Italian as a foreign language to help students study, translate or transcribe content between languages, interpret live video, or teach aspects of Italian culture. Many details of a remote job that uses Italian depend on the role. If you work as a teacher or tutor, use webcams and live video feeds to interact with students, whereas a translator just needs to receive documents through email. Translators often work with agencies or job boards to help ensure a steady supply of work.

What are Remote Italian jobs?

Remote Italian jobs are positions that require proficiency in the Italian language and can be performed remotely, meaning employees can work from home or any location outside a traditional office. These jobs span various industries such as customer service, translation, teaching, marketing, and IT. Employers seek candidates fluent in Italian to support Italian-speaking clients, translate documents, teach the language, or create content for Italian audiences. Remote Italian jobs provide flexibility and opportunities to work with international teams or companies.

What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive as a Remote Italian Translator, and why are they important?

To thrive as a Remote Italian Translator, you need fluency in Italian and at least one other language, strong written communication skills, and a relevant degree or translation certification. Familiarity with translation management systems (TMS), CAT tools like SDL Trados or MemoQ, and online collaboration platforms is often required. Additionally, setting up a dedicated workspace and seeking feedback can help maintain productivity and ensure high-quality language support.

You will join a collaborative team of Account Managers, Technical Service Managers, and Sales leadership who work together across regions to create value for our customers through expertise, partnership, and innovation.

The Role & Your Impact

  • Develop and implement account strategies aligned with customer needs and business priorities
  • Provide technical support during trials, product launches, and troubleshooting in collaboration with technical service teams
  • Work cross-functionally with marketing, business development, applications, innovation, and R&D to deliver consultative, solution-oriented selling

What You'll Need to Be Successful

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in sales within the food or dairy industry
  • In-depth understanding of cheese making and/or fermented milk production (e.g., Pasta Filata, hard Italian cheeses, cottage cheese, yogurt, drinkable dairy)
  • Strong negotiation, follow-up, and account management skills
  • A passion for the food industry and customer-focused problem solving
  • Experience with consultative or solution-based selling
  • Confidence working in manufacturing environments such as dairy plants
  • Optimistic, relationship-driven mindset with strong collaboration skills
  • Comfort engaging with both commercial and technical stakeholders across organizations

What We Offer

  • A collaborative, knowledge-sharing culture
  • Opportunities for professional growth and development
  • The chance to work with industry-leading experts in dairy science and biotechnology
  • A role with real ownership and visibility across the organization
  • This is a fully remote position, based in Wisconsin
  • Travel up to 60%, depending on customer needs
  • Regular time spent in customer manufacturing (dairy plant) environments
  • Expected base salary range: $115,000 $130,000 + 25% target bonus
  • 401(k) with up to a 9% company contribution
  • Minimum of 3 weeks of vacation plus 12 holidays and 2 weeks of Wellness Time
  • Health, Dental, Vision & Life insurance
  • Healthcare savings account option
