Job description

The Center for Academic Success & Enrichment is seeking a part-time faculty (professional) tutor to support the School of Pharmacy - Worcester/Manchester. The selected candidate will offer remote and/or in-person academic tutoring support to students enrolled in in the Accelerated Doctor of Pharmacy program.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Offer weekly tutoring availability for students enrolled in the first and second years of the Accelerated Doctor of Pharmacy program
  • Facilitate tutoring sessions in an in-person and/or
  • ent
  • Provide individualized feedback specific to student tutees as it relates to their competency with subject matter
  • Use the University's learning management and scheduling system to communicate with students and document sessions
  • Provide feedback to the program as it relates to observed student trends, concerns, and the like
  • Promotes engagement with and application of course content during sessions as to demonstrate the real-world applications of concepts covered
  • Provide service including student mentoring, ongoing course development, and assessment

Additional responsibilities may be assigned by the supervisor
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience in and/or familiarity with the School of Pharmacy Worcester/Manchester Accelerated Doctor of Pharmacy program

Required:
  • Doctor of Pharmacy Degree
  • Commitment to undergraduate, graduate and/or professional education and student success
  • Demonstrates proficiency with educational and workplace technologies, including learning management systems, Microsoft 365 applications, student success platforms, and emerging digital tools
  • Excellent organizational and communication skills
  • Must be able to work independently and effectively interact with a wide array of parties at all levels (students, faculty, administration/staff, alumni, and external constituents, including healthcare industry professionals)
