Remote Tax AccountantAbout the Opportunity

We are partnering with a growing CPA firm that is looking to add a Remote Tax Accountant to its team. This is an excellent opportunity for a tax professional who enjoys working with a variety of clients while maintaining the flexibility of a remote work environment.

The firm serves closely held businesses, business owners, and high-net-worth individuals across a diverse range of industries. You'll work alongside experienced tax professionals in a collaborative environment that values quality client service, professional development, and work-life balance.

What You'll Do

• Prepare and review federal and state tax returns for individuals and businesses

• Prepare tax returns including:

  • Individual (1040)

  • Partnership (1065)

  • S-Corporation (1120S)

  • Corporation (1120)

  • Trust & Estate (1041)

• Assist with tax planning projects and year-end projections

• Research tax issues and communicate findings to clients and team members

• Respond to IRS and state tax notices

• Work directly with clients to gather information and answer questions

• Collaborate with partners, managers, and staff on client engagements

Qualifications

• 2+ years of public accounting tax experience

• Experience preparing individual and business tax returns

• CPA, EA, CPA Candidate, or MST preferred but not required

• Strong communication and client service skills

• Ability to manage multiple deadlines and priorities

• Experience with tax software such as CCH Axcess, UltraTax, Lacerte, ProSystem fx, Drake, or similar platforms
