3 month contract with extensions

potential perm down line if candidate has legal billing background

* ideally we are looking for someone that has legal billing experience and is willing to do this UAT test script execution for first couple months then potentially transition more into a legal billing role.

JOB DESCRIPTION

Our client is a leading global law firm recognized for delivering innovative legal counsel to organizations across technology, life sciences, private equity, venture capital, and other highly regulated industries. With offices across the United States, Europe, and Asia, the firm is investing in modernizing its Revenue Operations function through the implementation of a new paperless billing platform designed to improve efficiency, accuracy, and the overall billing experience. The organization is currently transitioning from a legacy PDF-based billing process to a new electronic proforma billing solution and is seeking testing professionals to support this critical initiative.

We are seeking three (3) User Acceptance Testing (UAT) Testers to support a large-scale billing transformation initiative for a global law firm. These individuals will play a critical role in validating a new paperless billing platform prior to enterprise deployment.  Working closely with Billing Operations, Revenue Management, IT, business stakeholders, and implementation partners, the UAT Testers will execute test scenarios, identify defects, document findings, and ensure the solution meets business and operational requirements before go-live. The ideal candidate combines strong QA/UAT experience with knowledge of financial, billing, or legal industry systems.  The vendor is current configuring the system for their environment and goal of this new paperless solution is to improve billing efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

                1. Execute User Acceptance Testing (UAT) scripts and test cases for a new billing platform implementation.

                2. Validate end-to-end billing workflows, invoice generation processes, approvals, and revenue operations functionality.

                3. Identify, document, and track system defects through resolution.

                4. Work directly with business users to validate expected outcomes and production readiness.

                5. Participate in defect triage meetings and testing status discussions.

                6. Perform regression testing after system updates and defect fixes.

                7. Document testing results, findings, and recommendations.

                8. Collaborate with implementation vendors and internal stakeholders throughout the testing lifecycle.

                9. Validate system configurations and business processes associated with the firm's transition to an electronic proforma billing environment.

                10. Support go-live readiness and post-deployment stabilization activities.

After the UAT Testing is complete, they can see this role morphing into a hands-on Legal Billing role if the resource has experience in such a position.

REQUIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

- 3+ years of experience in User Acceptance Testing (UAT), Quality Assurance (QA), or Business Systems Testing AND/OR Legal Billing.

- background in professional services, legal services, billing, or finance-related (prefer Legal industry and 3E experience)

- Experience executing structured test plans and documenting defects.

- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

- Experience working with enterprise business applications or financial systems.

- Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and testing documentation tools.

NICE TO HAVE SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

- Experience within a law firm, legal technology environment, or professional services organization.

- Experience supporting billing, accounting, revenue operations, or finance system implementations.

- Experience with Elite 3E strongly preferred, or similar legal billing platforms like Aderant.

- Understanding of legal billing workflows, time entry, invoice processing, collections, and revenue management processes.
