About the Role
Daily Mail is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Data Entry Specialist to support an upcoming project related to the U.S. midterm elections. Reporting to our Executive Editor, Politics, this temporary, fully remote role will primarily focus on data entry and administrative support related to the project.
 
The ideal candidate is dependable, detail-oriented, and comfortable working with large volumes of information while maintaining a high level of accuracy. The position is expected to last approximately 1-2 weeks initially, with the possibility of an extension based on project needs.
 
 
About What You'll Do
  • Accurately enter and update election-related data across internal databases, spreadsheets, and systems
  • Review information for accuracy, completeness, and consistency
  • Organize and maintain digital records, files, and project documentation
  • Assist with data verification, cleanup, and reconciliation
  • Identify and correct data entry errors and discrepancies
  • Input information from various sources while maintaining established formatting and quality standards
  • Conduct basic research and information gathering as needed to support the project
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records throughout the duration of the project
  • Communicate any issues, discrepancies, or missing information to the appropriate team members
  • Meet established productivity, accuracy, and turnaround-time expectations
  • Maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive or time-sensitive information appropriately
  • Provide additional administrative and project support as assigned
 
About You
  • Previous data entry, administrative, research, or office experience preferred
  • Strong attention to detail and a high level of accuracy
  • Comfortable working with spreadsheets, databases, and computer systems
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office
  • Ability to quickly learn new software, systems, and processes
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Ability to work efficiently and accurately with repetitive tasks and large volumes of information
