Work Arrangement:

Remote

What You'll Do:

Responsible for leading complex strategic analysis, business case development, scenario and portfolio modeling, and cross-functional workstreams that support growth, market expansion, operational performance, and enterprise priorities. This role builds investment theses and business cases for the growth bridge, and pressure-tests where-to-play calls with market and competitive evidence. This role translates data, market insights, and business requirements into actionable recommendations that inform leadership decision-making while ensuring alignment with the organization’s strategic plans.

Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and support strategic planning, business case development, and analytical workstreams for initiatives that impact business performance, customer feedback, and organizational growth.
  • Develop and evaluate business cases for market expansion, incremental growth opportunities, service replication, and new or evolving business models.
  • Build complex scenario, financial, and portfolio models to assess opportunity size, investment requirements, risks, tradeoffs, and expected outcomes.
  • Stay current on external market factors, competitive trends, regulatory considerations, customer needs, and industry research that may influence business decisions.
  • Conduct market landscape assessments, competitor and customer profiling, and win/loss analysis to inform strategic priorities and commercial opportunities.
  • Partner directly with leaders and cross-functional stakeholders to define business needs, project requirements, key deliverables, and success measures.
  • Partner with Corporate Development on transaction evaluation, providing market, commercial, and strategic inputs to diligence and investment theses.
  • Develop executive-ready presentations, dashboards, models, and recommendations that clearly communicate insights, risks, timelines, and expected outcomes.
  • Identify and evaluate strategic opportunities, process improvements, potential partnerships, and business solutions. Lead complex analysis, including financial modeling, forecasting, SWOT analysis, gap analysis, workflow design, process mapping, and performance measurement.
  • Independently manage project workstreams, facilitate discussions, monitor progress, and escalate risks or barriers as appropriate.
  • Assess implementation of strategy at the tactical level through reviews, audits, performance tracking, and continuous improvement activities.
  • Provide guidance to less experienced analysts or project contributors by sharing analytical approaches, business context, and best practices.

Qualifications

Education & Credentials:

Experience:

  • 8+ years of progressive experience in corporate development, management consulting, strategic finance, business development, transaction advisory, or a related field.
  • Experience in transportation, maritime, logistics, energy, infrastructure, or complex operational environments preferred.
  • Demonstrated experience developing business cases, executive presentations, financial or operational models, and data-driven recommendations for senior leaders preferred.

Technical Skills:

  • Advanced proficiency utilizing external research, valuation, and market intelligence tools (e.g., Capital IQ, AlphaSense, PitchBook, FactSet) for competitor and customer profiling.
  • Advanced proficiency with dashboarding, business intelligence tools, data visualization, or enterprise reporting systems preferred.
  • Advanced proficiency in executing market analysis frameworks (e.g., market sizing, competitive structure, segmentation) to guide strategic decisions.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office products, including Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Word.

Competencies:
