Job Title: COMSEC Logistics Support Specialist

Competitive Range Solutions requires the expertise of a talented and experienced COMSEC support specialist to augment the customers' COMSEC Controlling Authority function. In support of this effort, the candidate shall participate in the management of the COMSEC key and crypto deployment. Additionally, the candidate will be responsible for maintaining a Cryptographic Key Management Support Plan as part of the Cryptographic Support SOP in support of the overall COMSEC program. The candidate will also provide guidance and support for all concerned parties: To include users, installation infrastructure technical personnel, site support teams, commercial transport vendors, network operations/management centers, and transport managers/engineers) to ensure each domain that supports a requirement will be complete and in place by the required service date.

The COMSEC Support Specialist provides support as part of the COMSEC management and support team. The candidate must reference their understanding, ability, and experience in working in a Department of Defense (DoD) customer environment and effective integration with a government multi-contractor team.

Working under the direction of their respective Team Lead and direct supervision the customer, the candidate must be a fast starter, able to work independently in a team.

Roles and Responsibilities:

  1. Act as customer central POC for COMSEC Authority related work orders, projects, and activities.
  2. Respond to internal and external equipment and key related queries (i.e. delivery status).
  3. Monitor and redirect customer related communication.
  4. Maintain, update, report required weekly and monthly metrics.
  5. Coordinate, support and direct Key order requests and distribution.
  6. Attend 2 4 team and customer meetings per week.
  7. Track, report, and troubleshoot Key order requests and inventory.
  8. Input database entries, produce reports and create templates for input into database.
  9. Prepare briefings and presentations as requested.

Qualifications/Experience:

  • Bachelor's or associate degree, and at least 5 years of warehouse management and logistics related experience or High school diploma/GED, and at least 7 years of COMSEC logistics and analysis experience.
  • Experience in the integrated COMSEC logistics support field, including any of the following areas: key ordering and management, planning and concept development, provisioning, maintenance concepts and requirements analysis and related automated information systems and analysis tools.
  • Prior experience utilizing the Distributed INFOSEC Accounting System (DIAS) inventory system is highly valued.
  • Must have an Active Top Secret US Government Clearance. Note: US Citizenship is required to maintain a Top Secret Clearance.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Military Experience in a Supply Career Management Field.
  • Experience in COMSEC supply, stockroom, warehouse, and inventory operations.
  • Familiarity with COMSEC network equipment, NSA Keying requirements, MS 365 tools (Intermediate Level), MS SharePoint, and MS Access.
  • Experience with direct customer support, problem solving, conflict resolution - Strong written and verbal skills are a must.
  • CompTIA Network + certification.
  • Familiarity with national and DoD COMSEC Doctrine reference actions.

Other:

  • Travel: Occasion local travel to within a fifty-mile radius to customer location
  • Work Location: At the customer location in Fort Mead, Maryland with customer approved telework.
  • Work Schedule: 8AM 5PM with telework 2 days per week, at the discretion of CRS and the customer.
