Summary
Organizational Location: This position is with the Department of Homeland Security, within U.S. Customs and Border Protection, Office of Information and Technology, Enterprise Infrastructure and Operations Directorate located in Springfield, VA.

In the position, you will provide receipt, acceptance, barcoding, inventory, and tracking of Government Furnished Equipment (GFE) assets for Enterprise Infrastructure and Operations Directorate (EIOD) federal and contract employees.
This position starts at a salary of $121,785.00 (GS-13, Step 1) to $158,322.00 (GS-13, Step 10)
Major Duties:
  • Managing, regulating and coordinating or cover assigned personal property, assets, supplies and equipment within CBP.
  • Maintaining storage records and developing data for inventory reports.
  • Tracking the flow of materials through shipment and storage, to final distribution and verifying requisition priorities in acquisitions and shipping lead-time.
  • Performing random inventories, identifying discrepancies, conducting in-depth searches for missing items or equipment, and reconciling inventory and stock levels; when complete making recommendations for replacement criteria and shelf life of inventory items.
  • Projecting needs for accountable property and supporting supplies, anticipating future requirements and addressing potential shortages.

Qualifications
Experience GS-13: You qualify for the GS-13 grade level if you possess 1 year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the next lower grade level, performing duties such as:
  • Serving as technical advisor to manager on all inventory and supply management activities.
  • Developing and implementing standardized asset management policies.
  • Identifying and mitigating risks with inventory management tasks, including lifting, moving, or handling equipment and materials.
  • Reconciling inventory, resolving discrepancies and ensuring the accuracy of inventory data.

You must:
