Work Environment

As part of our telehealth facility, you will conduct counseling sessions via video chat from anywhere with a reliable internet connection. Key Responsibilities

• Conduct individual counseling sessions with clients experiencing stable, low-acuity mental health concerns using ethical, evidence-based therapeutic practices.
• Utilize solution-focused treatment modalities to support individuals in developing effective coping strategies for various life challenges.
• Create and implement personalized treatment plans tailored to meet the unique needs of each client, regularly assessing and adjusting these plans based on progress.
• Facilitate insightful discussions that help clients identify and understand their emotions, relationships, and life situations.
• Monitor client progress diligently, celebrating milestones while addressing any setbacks with empathy and professionalism.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Your clients will primarily be adults dealing with a range of low-acuity mental health issues, such as anxiety, depression, and life transitions. These clients seek support to improve their overall quality of life, and you will play a pivotal role in guiding them towards greater self-understanding and personal growth.

Qualifications

• A Master’s degree in a counseling-related discipline such as Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology.
• A current state-issued mental health counseling license (LMFT, LMHC, LICSW) for independent practice, without disciplinary actions or limited licenses.
• Strong interpersonal skills, demonstrating both empathy and effective communication with clients.
• Proficiency in technology, including a computer with webcam and audio capability for virtual sessions.

Preferred Experience

• At least 2 years of experience in a clinical counseling setting, providing individual therapy.
• Experience with diverse populations, enhancing your ability to connect with a wide range of clients.
• Familiarity with solution-focused and other evidence-based therapeutic approaches.
