Key Responsibilities
  • Build rapport with clients through active listening, empathy, and a non-judgmental approach, establishing a foundation of trust essential for effective therapy.

  • Diagnose mental health disorders utilizing current Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders (DSM) criteria, ensuring accurate assessments that guide treatment strategies.

  • Develop individualized treatment plans tailored to each client’s specific needs, involving them in the decision-making process and setting feasible goals for therapy.

  • Conduct regular therapy sessions, employing various therapeutic modalities including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), family systems therapy, and solution-focused approaches.

  • Maintain meticulous documentation of client progress changes in treatment plans, ensuring compliance with organizational and state regulations.

  • Evaluate outcomes through ongoing assessments and client feedback to refine therapeutic approaches and discuss these adjustments transparently with clients.

Patient Population / Client Focus

As a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist, you will work with a diverse range of clients, including individuals dealing with anxiety, depression, relationship challenges, trauma, and other mental health issues. You will empower clients by employing tailored strategies designed to support their specific circumstances, strengthening their capabilities to cope and thrive. Your work will directly contribute to improving their emotional wellness and interpersonal relationships.

Qualifications
  • Current state licensure as a Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) in Florida is a must.

  • A Master’s degree in Marriage and Family Therapy or a related field is required.

Compensation and Benefits
