Public Information Staff Member - Orlando, FL Area Full-Time Position | Local to Central Florida | Focus Communications Experience Required Stokes Creative Group seeks a Public Information Specialist based in the Orlando, FL, metro area with Public Outreach and Project Management experience to support public-sector communication campaigns for infrastructure and community projects. Key Responsibilities: Support local Orlando-area client events and community engagement activities Create public outreach materials (flyers, brochures, posters, social graphics) Write press releases, newsletters, fact sheets, and project updates Manage social media for client projects (Facebook, Instagram, X, LinkedIn) Design visuals for public meetings, stakeholder briefings, and websites Demonstrate ability to translate technical information into public-friendly content Monitor media coverage and prepare status reports Required Qualifications: Live/work in Orlando/Central Florida area 2+ years in public outreach, communications, Public Relations, or marketing Project Management experience Communications experience required Graphic design preferred (Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign) Strong writing skills for public, media, and stakeholder audiences Valid FL driver's license for local event coverage Proficient in Microsoft Office/Google Workspace Preferred: Public sector/infrastructure project experience AP Style writing Graphic Design Skills Project Management Experience Bachelor's Degree in Communications, Journalism, or Marketing, or equivalent in experience This is a non-management position This is a full time position
