Position Overview

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough assessments and evaluations to develop tailored therapeutic approaches for each client, ensuring a personalized experience.
• Deliver evidence-based therapies such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), psychodynamic therapy, and solution-focused short-term therapy for individuals, families, and groups.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary healthcare teams to ensure comprehensive care, including consultation with psychiatrists and social workers when necessary.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date clinical documentation in compliance with legal and ethical standards using electronic medical records (EMR) systems.
• Participate in ongoing professional development opportunities and workshops to remain current on best practices in mental health and evidence-based approaches.

The clients served by Harmony in Mental Health Coalition Service include individuals facing a range of mental health challenges such as anxiety, depression, trauma, substance misuse, and relationship issues. Qualifications

• Master's or Doctoral degree in Counseling, Psychology, Social Work, or a related field.
• Active and unrestricted licensure as a Professional Counselor (LPC) in the state of Connecticut.
• A minimum of two years of clinical counseling experience is required, demonstrating a solid foundation in therapeutic techniques and client care.
• Strong understanding of legal and ethical standards in mental health practice.
• Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, able to build rapport with clients from diverse backgrounds.
• Proficient in utilizing EMR software and technology for client management and documentation.

Preferred Experience

• Experience in specialized areas such as family therapy, couples therapy, crisis intervention, or trauma-informed care is highly desirable.
• A history of effective collaboration within healthcare teams that enhances inter- and intra-departmental communication and service delivery.

Compensation and Benefits

This position offers a competitive annual salary ranging from USD 70,000 to 90,000, commensurate with experience and caseload availability.
