• Provide therapeutic guidance and instruction to patients, focusing on fostering emotional and mental growth through effective counseling techniques.
• Conduct thorough patient intakes, including diagnostic evaluations and functional assessments, to develop tailored treatment goals and plans.
• Deliver brief, focused interventions for patients requiring mental health services, ensuring timely access to care.
• Advise primary care providers on patient needs, determining the most suitable care setting—either within the primary care context or through referral to specialized mental health facilities.
• Initiate follow-up appointments to monitor patient progress, making necessary adjustments to treatment approaches as required.
• Develop and implement relapse prevention plans for patients as needed, aiding in their journey toward stable functioning.
• Assist in identifying 'at-risk' patients, formulating proactive measures to prevent the deterioration of their health conditions.
• Coordinate health services by liaising with other treatment providers, fostering a collaborative approach to patient care.
• Document patient progress and clinical information meticulously in treatment charts to ensure comprehensive and accurate records.
• Maintain continuous communication with primary care providers about patient needs and progress, contributing to integrated treatment planning.
• Coach patients on self-management skills, empowering them to actively participate in their recovery process.
• Provide technical consultation on behavioral health services to clinic management, continually assessing and improving program outcomes.
• Support patients in complying with prescribed medical treatments, offering coping strategies for medication-related side effects.
• Adhere strictly to the Code of Ethical Conduct for Clinical Professionals, ensuring the highest ethical standards in all interactions.
• Perform other relevant duties as assigned to meet clinic objectives.

Your patients will encompass a diverse demographic within Salem and surrounding areas, engaging with individuals experiencing a range of mental health challenges. You'll have the opportunity to influence their health outcomes positively through tailored interventions, educational resources, and collaborative care strategies.

• Education: A minimum of a Master’s Degree in Clinical Counseling.
• Licensure: Must hold a current LPC (Licensed Professional Counselor) license.
• Skills: Strong knowledge of mental health assessment, treatment planning, developmental psychotherapy, and the use of DSM-IV diagnoses in clinical practice.
• Health Requirements: Maintain adequate mental and physical health to fulfill job responsibilities effectively.
• Community Insight: Familiarity with the personal and social impacts of mental health issues on individuals and families, with a good understanding of community resources.

• Experience in primary care settings, demonstrating familiarity with integrated behavioral health practices.
• Proficient in both English and Spanish, although bilingual ability is not a strict requirement.
• Experience with psychodiagnostic methods and therapeutic approaches.
• Understanding of family therapy and group therapy methodologies.

We offer a competitive salary range of USD 87,000 to 105,000 annually, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
