As an LPC, your responsibilities will include:

• Conducting thorough patient intakes and evaluations to assess mental health and psychosocial issues, providing insightful recommendations to primary care providers.
• Delivering brief, focused therapeutic interventions to patients requiring mental health support.
• Collaborating with primary care providers to determine the need for referrals to specialty mental health services.
• Tracking patient progress and initiating follow-ups to adapt treatment plans as necessary.
• Developing and implementing relapse prevention strategies to foster ongoing patient stability and well-being.
• Identifying at-risk patients and creating preventative plans to protect and improve their mental health.
• Coordinating and monitoring health services delivery related to behavioral healthcare, ensuring that patients are engaged with appropriate treatment options.
• Documenting patient progress and maintaining comprehensive clinical records to support treatment effectiveness and continuity of care.
• Actively participating as a member of an interdisciplinary team, contributing to collaborative treatment planning and evaluation efforts.
• Providing patients with educational resources, self-management strategies, and coping mechanisms to encourage active participation in their recovery process.
• Offering consultations to management and other team members regarding best practices for behavioral health services.
• Adhering to established ethical standards as outlined in the Code of Ethical Conduct for Clinical Professionals.

Candidates for this position must possess the following qualifications:

• A minimum of a Master's Degree in Clinical Counseling or a related field.
• A current and active LPC (Licensed Professional Counselor) license.

• Strong understanding of developmental psychopathology and methods pertinent to family and group therapy.
• Proficiency in bipolar language skills, particularly bilingual English-Spanish, is preferred but not mandatory.
• A solid grasp of community resources available to patients and their families.
• Ability to maintain professional clinical records and prepare comprehensive reports.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills to foster effective relationships with staff, patients, and their families.
• Demonstrated capacity for independent decision-making and sound judgment in clinical matters.
