Senior Sales Manager (Wholesale) | Remote

Job description

HireHawk connects skilled professionals with U.S. and Canadian companies building high-performing remote teams across Latin America and other global markets. We believe strong candidates should be able to do meaningful work from anywhere, supported by clear expectations, structured onboarding, and dedicated coordination. For this opportunity, we are partnering with an AI-powered technology company serving the oil and gas industry, whose QA team acts as the final validation layer before documents are delivered to customers.
About the Role
Our client is hiring a Senior Sales Manager (Wholesale) to own the revenue strategy and retail marketing engine behind its wholesale business. You will lead several high-priority national and international retail relationships while keeping a network of several hundred independent retailers aligned with one coherent channel strategy.
Reporting directly to the COO, you will have meaningful autonomy over forecasting, account growth, merchandising, campaigns, co-op investment, and cross-functional execution. This is not a reorder-management position. You will build the strategy, strengthen buyer relationships, interpret POS data, and ensure each initiative succeeds at the store level.
Responsibilities
Sales Strategy & Key Accounts
  • Own the sales strategy and P&L relationship for our key national accounts (Target, Ulta, Olive Young, and future retail launches) - forecasting, sell-through analysis, and account planning
  • Be the primary relationship owner for buyers at our major accounts - building trust, navigating sensitive negotiations, and bringing them ideas before they ask
  • Turn weekly and monthly POS and sell-through data into a clear point of view, not just a report
  • Own the strategy for our independent retailer channel - merchandising, promotions, and rep/agency management - and make sure it moves in lockstep with our national account strategy
  • Manage third-party reps and agencies who help us expand into new markets & accounts

Retail Marketing & Partnerships
  • Own the retail marketing calendar for Ulta, Target, and Olive Young - launch support, in-store activation, sampling, and seasonal or retailer-led campaign moments
  • Be the primary marketing liaison to Ulta's, Target's, and Olive Young's internal teams, and the one who secures incremental placement, co-op dollars, and promotional support
  • Build the promotional calendar that drives sell-through without leaning on discounting
  • Brief and deliver retailer-specific launch toolkits with Creative - on time, every time
  • Track the ROI on co-op spend, sampling, and in-store activations, and use it to shape next season's plan
  • Cross-Functional Leadership
  • Build and lead the team supporting wholesale operations and account coordination, with a hands-on, roll-up-your-sleeves approach
  • Partner with Operations and the warehouse team so order fulfillment for key accounts is always compliant and on time
  • Keep the wholesale catalog and price sheets current with Creative, refreshed at least twice a year
  • Manage outside vendors (display manufacturers, print shops) so sales collateral and displays are always in stock

Requirements
Must-Have:
  • 7+ years of retail or wholesale sales experience with a consumer brand.
  • A proven record of growing a beauty brand's revenue and sell-through inside major retailers.
  • Direct, hands-on experience managing Target and/or Ulta as a key account.
  • Strong commercial judgment across forecasting, account planning, P&L ownership, inventory, POS data, and sell-through analysis.
  • Experience owning retail or trade marketing plans, including promotions, co-op budgets, sampling, merchandising, and in-store activation.
  • The ability to build trusted buyer relationships, lead sensitive negotiations, and bring partners commercially valuable ideas.
  • Experience leading people while remaining hands-on with execution, reporting, and account management.

Nice to Have:
  • Direct experience with Olive Young or Sephora.
  • Experience managing an independent retailer network through Faire.com.
  • Experience leading third-party sales representatives, agencies, and outside vendors.
  • Experience supporting new retailer launches, international expansion, in-store displays, or sampling programs.
  • Experience using CRM, sales reporting, and account-planning tools.

Benefits
  • 100% remote work, allowing you to contribute from the environment where you do your best work.
  • Flexible PTO policy
  • Generous medical benefits
  • Competitive compensation (based on experience)
  • Direct partnership with the COO and meaningful influence over company-level retail decisions.
