We are looking for a Senior Project Manager to support our EMI team in Arlington, TX.  This is an Onsite Position

Position Overview:

The project manager is responsible for the successful planning, coordination, and execution of millwork, stainless fabrication, and refrigeration projects from award through closeout.  This role serves as the point of contact for customer(s) and internal teams, ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget, and accordance with approved drawings, specifications, and quality standards.   The ideal candidate will be self-motivated and eager to expand upon a well-established customer base.

This is an onsite position. 

Essential Job Functions:

  • Understand EMI’s manufacturing processes 
  • Adhere to EMI’s project management fundamentals 
  • Maintain existing customer relationships, focusing on our custom manufacturing 
  • Develop and grow new customer relationships
  • Clearly define project scope of work and communicate scope with internal team 
  • Define and format project life cycle using Microsoft Project or Smartsheet
  • Lead meetings with internal team members to facilitate the project life cycle
  • Review cost estimates and custom quotations prior to submitting to customer
  • Material take-off and ordering long lead time items
  • Manage inventory levels 
  • Identify and solve problems
  • Generate log for value engineering and value add opportunities
  • Serve as point of contact for customers, ensuring consistent accurate and timely communication regarding status, changes, and expectations. 
  • Understand customer requirements and deliver solutions that meet agreed upon customer expectations. 
  • Maintain and monitor customer schedule
  • Ensure all projects have a master control sample 
  • Organize all customer files 
  • Review labor and margins for project(s)
  • Perform additional assignments in accordance with the Manager’s direction
  • Other duties may be assigned to meet business needs

Minimum Qualifications: 

  • Knowledge or background with woodworking, including design, CAD, shop experience, project management strongly preferred
  • Customer service and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent time management skills 
  • Excellent verbal and written communication
  • Good organizational skills
  • Proficient basic math skills
  • Ability to work in a demanding, multi-task environment
  • Ability to work harmoniously with co-workers and vendors

Education and/or Experience:

  • Associates degree in project management, architectural or construction related field.
  • Minimum five (5) years of relevant work experience.
