Covia is looking for a dynamic Project Manager who will have a positive impact on business performance. This is a remote position that will be based out of a state that Covia currently operates in. As a Project Manager, you will plan, monitor, and manage internal projects from initiation through completion ensuring projects are completed within time and budgetary constraints. The Project Manager will support and ensure projects are executed according to Covia Standards, while maintaining positive solution-oriented, collaborative, and successful operations.

 

The successful candidate will have the following Key Accountabilities:

  • Lead high-impact, multi-functional strategic initiatives, ensuring timely delivery against business objectives
  • Foster strong relationships with executive sponsors, cross-functional department leaders, and external partners, ensuring buy-in and alignment on project deliverables
  • Proactively identify risks and develop mitigation strategies and plans to address potential project roadblocks and ensure continuity of execution
  • Establish and manage detailed project plans, milestones, and performance metrics while delivering regular reports to executive leadership and key stakeholders
  • Ensure deadlines, budgets, and business objectives are met
  • Assist with the development and/or implementation of best practices, changes, and innovations for projects
  • Other job duties as assigned

 

The successful candidate will have the following Minimum Qualifications:

  • 3 to 5 years of project management experience, managing strategic, high-impact initiatives
  • Certified Project Management Professional
  • Bachelor’s degree in finance, engineering, or a related field. Master’s degree (MBA or equivalent) preferred
  • Proficient in MS Office Programs, (Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint).
  • Experience with Smartsheet’s a plus
  • Able to gain trust and respect of peers, provide leadership and guidance
  • Clear and effective written and verbal communications skills
  • Detail oriented, data driven, problem solver with high level of organizational skills
  • Experience in supporting multiple projects/initiatives within a corporate environment
  • Demonstrated project management leadership as evidenced by % of project complete on time and on budget
  • Demonstrated ability to debottleneck, identify and anticipate project risks and formulate mitigating actions, and reformulate plans as needs arise to stay on track
