Job Summary
The Senior Consultant serves as a senior advisor and subject matter expert providing strategic consulting, organizational development, business process improvement, and program modernization support to federal agencies. The Senior Consultant leads complex consulting engagements that support agency leadership in improving organizational effectiveness, operational efficiency, policy implementation, and mission delivery

Duties/Responsibilities
  • Lead complex consulting engagements supporting organizational development, business process improvement, and strategic initiatives.

  • Analyze organizational structures, business operations, workflows, and performance to identify opportunities for improvement.

  • Develop and implement business process reengineering strategies that improve operational efficiency and program effectiveness.

  • Advise federal leadership on organizational modernization, governance, policy implementation, and performance improvement initiatives.

  • Design and facilitate executive workshops, strategic planning sessions, stakeholder meetings, and collaborative decision-making processes.

  • Lead organizational assessments, process mapping, benchmarking studies, and operational evaluations.

  • Develop methodologies, best practices, and analytical frameworks that support agency objectives.

  • Prepare executive-level reports, white papers, strategic recommendations, technical documentation, and presentations.

  • Provide expert guidance on change management strategies and organizational transformation efforts.

  • Interpret complex qualitative and quantitative data to support executive decision-making.

  • Collaborate with federal personnel, contractors, tribal governments, state agencies, local governments, and partner organizations.

  • Support policy development, business requirements analysis, and implementation planning.

  • Identify project risks and recommend mitigation strategies.

  • Promote knowledge sharing and mentor project teams through coaching, training, and technical guidance.

  • Ensure project deliverables comply with contract requirements, federal regulations, quality standards, and Section 508 accessibility requirements.

  • Assist Program Managers and Senior Program Managers with strategic planning and enterprise-level initiatives

Education and Experience
  • Required: Bachelor's degree in business, management, information systems or other related fields and at least twelve (12) years of professional experience OR
  • Required: Master's degree in business, management, information systems or other related fields and at least eight (8) years of professional experience
  • Preferred: Experience supporting projects for the U.S. Forest Service, National Forest System (NFS), or other federal land management agencies

Physical Requirements
  • Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer

  • This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, etc.
