What is a Remote Intelligence Fusion Center?

These centers operate remotely, allowing analysts to collaborate and access information from various locations using advanced technology. The goal is to enhance situational awareness and support decision-making by synthesizing information from different agencies, sensors, and databases. Remote operations enable rapid response and coordination even when team members are not physically together.

What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive in a Remote Intelligence Fusion Center role, and why are they important?

Success in a Remote Intelligence Fusion Center role requires strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and a background in intelligence analysis or security studies, often supported by a relevant degree or security clearance. Proficiency with intelligence databases, geospatial tools, data visualization software, and secure communication platforms is typically necessary. Position Overview

Practical Solutions Counseling is seeking a dedicated and flexible Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) to provide valuable therapeutic services within a remote or outpatient setting in Aurora, Colorado. This full-time role is tailored for skilled professionals who are passionate about making a difference in the lives of children and their families dealing with developmental disabilities and intellectual challenges. The ideal candidate will exhibit a commitment to providing effective, individualized therapy and support for youth and their caregivers.

About the Organization

At Practical Solutions Counseling, we pride ourselves on our holistic approach to mental health care. Our goal is to support primary caregivers and children aged 3 to 20 who face developmental and intellectual disabilities. Committed to fostering a nurturing environment, we implement comprehensive youth and family support services designed to empower families through collaborative treatment plans and therapeutic practices. Our team values creativity, compassion, and professionalism, ensuring our therapeutic practices are innovative and effective.

Work Environment

This role offers the flexibility of remote work or outpatient sessions at our center in Aurora, allowing you to create a work-life balance that best suits you and your clients. Working with our skilled professionals and a collaborative Child Family Treatment Team, you will utilize evidence-based techniques to implement therapy sessions that can occur in clients' homes or within our supportive outpatient facility.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct in-home therapy sessions or facilitate group therapy at our outpatient center, adapting interventions to meet the specific needs of the individual youth or group.
  • Address behavioral concerns through targeted interventions, such as anger management strategies, coping skills development, and fostering social skills to reduce high-risk behaviors.
  • Guide youth and their caregivers in refining decision-making skills, enabling them to manage in-home behavioral challenges and improve overall family dynamics.
  • Collaborate with the multidisciplinary Child Family Treatment Team, ensuring consistent communication and treatment approaches amongst professionals for holistic care.
  • Document therapy progress meticulously, maintaining timely submissions of intake forms, treatment plans, and progress notes to track client growth accurately.
  • Participate in monthly team meetings, actively contributing recommendations and insights to continuously improve services offered to clients.
Patient Population / Client Focus

The primary focus of this role is to work with children aged 3 to 20 who are experiencing developmental disabilities and intellectual challenges. These challenging behaviors may include self-injurious behaviors (SIB) or physical aggression, requiring tailored therapeutic approaches that reflect each child's unique circumstances and needs. A commitment to cultural competence, particularly with bilingual clients in Spanish or Portuguese, is highly valued.

Qualifications
  • A Master’s degree in Counseling, Marriage and Family Therapy, or a related field is required.
  • Possession of an active and unrestricted LMFT license is essential for this position.
  • Availability for a minimum of 5-10 hours per week, particularly during after-school hours between 4-7 pm, is necessary, with flexibility for weekends being advantageous.
Preferred Experience
  • Demonstrated experience in providing positive behavior support with a focus on preventative strategies and interventions.
  • Prior experience working directly with children aged 3 to 20, especially those with intellectual and developmental disabilities, is strongly preferred.
  • A valid driver’s license and access to a registered vehicle are required for traveling to client sessions when necessary.
  • Successful completion of a comprehensive criminal background check, including fingerprinting, is required.
Compensation and Benefits

The compensation package for this position ranges from $60,000 to $80,000 annually, commensurate with experience and qualifications. In addition to competitive pay, you will also benefit from:

  • A dynamic and inclusive work environment.
  • Extensive opportunities for professional growth and ongoing job training.
  • Comprehensive group health coverage.
  • Paid time off annually, allowing for personal wellness and rejuvenation.
  • Short and long-term disability insurance for peace of mind.
  • A robust 401K plan to support your long-term financial goals.
Career Growth Opportunities

At Practical Solutions Counseling, we believe in fostering the growth of our employees. You will have access to training sessions, workshops, and mentorship opportunities that enable you to advance your skills and expertise in therapy while also contributing to leadership roles within the organization. As we expand our services, positions for advancement will continue to arise for those eager to take on new challenges.

Why Join Our Team
