You will engage with patients through virtual sessions, ensuring that you support them in a comfortable setting. • Conduct initial and ongoing assessments to ascertain the specific needs and treatment goals of individuals affected by substance use disorders.
• Design and implement individualized treatment plans based on the evidence-based techniques tailored to each patient's unique situation.
• Lead individual therapy sessions that incorporate motivational interviewing and cognitive-behavioral strategies, helping patients foster personal insight and coping skills.
• Facilitate group therapy sessions to create a sense of community among participants and encourage shared learning, support, and recovery strategies.
• Work alongside a multidisciplinary team, including psychiatrists and addiction medicine specialists, to provide a coordinated and comprehensive treatment plan for each patient.
• Provide crisis intervention services, ensuring immediate support for patients experiencing acute substance-related emergencies.
• Educate patients and their families about addiction-related issues, recovery strategies, and available community resources to empower them in the recovery journey.
• Maintain diligent and accurate records compliant with ethical standards and legal requirements, utilizing electronic health record (EHR) systems proficiently.
• Participate actively in team meetings and case consultations, contributing to the continuous development of our treatment approaches.
• Stay informed on the latest research, advancements, and best practices in the treatment of substance use disorders, and integrate this knowledge into your therapeutic practice.

Your primary focus will be on clients with substance use disorders, a diverse group that may include individuals at various stages of addiction and recovery. This role emphasizes patience, empathy, and cultural competence to address the unique challenges each patient faces, including but not limited to the psychological, social, and practical ramifications of addiction.

• A Master's or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.
• Current and valid licensure as an LCSW, LPCC, LMFT, or Psychologist in the state of California.
• In-depth knowledge of substance use disorders, recovery-oriented care, and various evidence-based treatment modalities pertinent to addiction therapy.
• Demonstrated experience in facilitating both individual and group therapy in addiction treatment settings.
• Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, ensuring a non-judgmental and empathetic engagement with patients.
• Proficiency in utilizing electronic health records (EHR) systems and familiarity with various computer applications relevant to mental health practices.

• Prior experience within multidisciplinary teams that focus on mental health and addiction treatment.
• Exposure to different therapeutic techniques and treatment frameworks tailored to individuals facing substance use challenges.
