While most of your work hours will be conducted remotely, you will engage regularly with an interdisciplinary team composed of psychiatrists, nurses, and addiction specialists dedicated to providing integrated care.

• Conduct thorough assessments of clients’ mental health and substance use concerns, pinpointing co-occurring disorders through structured interviews and standardized assessment tools.
• Collaborate closely with clients to create personalized treatment plans that incorporate evidence-based interventions, ensuring that both mental health and substance use needs are effectively addressed.
• Provide individual and group therapy sessions, employing therapeutic techniques that empower clients to develop resilience, coping skills, and effective relapse prevention strategies.
• Engage in case coordination with multidisciplinary team members, ensuring seamless treatment continuity for clients through regular updates and strategy discussions.
• Monitor clients' substance use through regular evaluations, utilizing motivational interviewing techniques to mitigate barriers to recovery and engagement in the treatment process.
• Facilitate educational sessions for clients and their families, emphasizing the importance of understanding the interconnectedness of mental health and substance use disorders for successful treatment adherence.
• Maintain comprehensive and accurate documentation of treatment progress, interventions delivered, and referrals made, adhering to ethical and legal guidelines relevant to mental health practice.
• Participate actively in case conferences, staff training, and continued education programs to stay abreast of the latest developments in the treatment of co-occurring disorders.

In this role, you will primarily serve individuals facing the complex challenge of co-occurring mental health and substance use disorders. Your work will directly impact their recovery trajectory, helping clients navigate their paths with resilience and hope. You will approach each case with sensitivity, understanding that each individual’s background and experience necessitate tailored therapeutic approaches. The diverse client population ranges from young adults to older individuals, each requiring a nuanced understanding of their unique circumstances.

• A Master’s or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution is required.
• Current and valid licensure as either a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), or Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) in Arizona.
• Demonstrated proficiency in evidence-based therapies specific to co-occurring disorders, including Integrated Dual Diagnosis Treatment (IDDT) and Motivational Interviewing (MI).
• A strong understanding and awareness of the complex relationship between mental health and substance use disorders.
• Exceptional interpersonal skills that foster effective collaboration with multidisciplinary team members.

• Previous experience in a telehealth setting or with remote service delivery is highly valued.
• Familiarity with trauma-informed care principles and practices.
• Experience in utilizing electronic health records (EHR) systems for documentation and care management.
• Background in leading therapeutic groups or workshops, particularly focused on co-occurring disorders.

This position offers a competitive salary ranging from USD 75,000 to 100,000 per year, complemented by a generous sign-on bonus.
