Jackson & Campbell, P.C. has a national reputation for excellence in its representation of insurers in insurance coverage matters. With more than 40 years of litigation and counseling experience in complex disputes between insureds and their carriers, our clients have come to rely on our dependable and prompt analysis and opinions, effective case strategy and coordination, and our case management systems and support.
Jackson & Campbell currently has an opening for a full-time associate-level attorney with 2+ years of property/casualty insurance coverage experience to join our Insurance Coverage practice group.  If you are interested in working with the practice group leadership in a collaborative relationship, and would like increasingly challenging projects and responsibility, then you should apply to the position.
Key Responsibilities
  • Legal research regarding coverage and litigation issues
  • Coverage analysis – insurance policy review and claims fact review
  • Preparing draft coverage position letters
  • All aspects of insurance coverage litigation – pleadings, discovery, motions, trial, settlement
  • Authoring articles on timely insurance topics
Education and Qualification Requirements
  • Juris Doctor (JD) from accredited law school
  • Admission to DC bar or waiver eligibility (required)
  • Admission(s) to MD and/or VA preferred
  • 2+ years property/casualty insurance coverage experience required
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to prioritize and multi-task a diverse caseload and meet deadlines
  • Self-starter who takes responsibility and ownership of executing tasks

  • Associate attorneys are eligible to participate in the Firm’s billable-hours bonus program and the collections bonus program.
Salary Range:
  • $125,000 - $145,000 based on experience and credentials, however, the higher end of the salary range is reserved for exceptional circumstances.
After training and orientation, you will have the option to work remotely most days. Schedules and in-office work depend on practice group needs.
