• Conduct thorough assessments to evaluate the severity, frequency, and impact of mood disorders on clients’ lives.
• Collaborate with clients to develop personalized treatment plans that align with their unique goals, preferences, and strengths.
• Implement evidence-based therapies, such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), to effectively address client needs.
• Provide educational resources and support to clients and their families about mood disorders, treatment options, and self-care strategies.
• Monitor client progress towards treatment goals by maintaining detailed documentation and adjusting treatment plans as necessary.
• Engage in interdisciplinary collaboration with psychiatrists and other health professionals to ensure holistic care for clients.
• Stay updated with the latest research and developments in mood disorders to enhance therapeutic practices and client outcomes.
• Participate in team meetings, case consultations, and professional development workshops to further your expertise and contribute to the team’s knowledge base.
• Advocate for the needs of clients and work toward reducing mental health stigma within the community.

Your primary focus will be on patients experiencing mood disorders such as depression, bipolar disorder, and anxiety. A vital component of this role involves working with vulnerable populations, including individuals facing challenges such as homelessness, domestic violence, or refugee status. As a therapist, you will provide the support needed for these individuals to navigate their circumstances and foster resilience.

• A valid and active state license as a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT).
• A minimum of a Master's degree in Marriage and Family Therapy from an accredited institution.
• Demonstrated ability to establish a safe and trusting therapeutic alliance through exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
• Exhibit empathy, compassion, and a nonjudgmental attitude in your practice, allowing clients to feel understood and supported.
• Strong organizational and time management capabilities to ensure efficient handling of administrative tasks and client schedules.

• Experience working with clients who have mood disorders and those from diverse cultural backgrounds.
• Familiarity with evidence-based treatment methodologies and therapeutic interventions tailored to mood disorders.
• Skills in crisis intervention and de-escalation techniques to effectively handle emergent situations.

• Annual salary range of USD 70,000 – 90,000, commensurate with qualifications and experience.
