Job Description

About CallonDoc

CallonDoc is a leading telemedicine platform delivering affordable, accessible care nationwide. We operate a high-volume D2C model with growing subscription programs and emerging B2B SaaS/licensing, plus pharmacy and lab partnerships.

Role Summary

Weโ€™re seeking a hands-on Controller to build and run our finance engine: clean GAAP accounting, ASC 606 revenue recognition, multi-entity consolidation, internal controls, and decision-grade forecasting for a high-velocity, tech-enabled healthcare business.

What Youโ€™ll Own

Accounting & Close

  • Lead the monthly close (target โ‰ค10 business days); own BS, P&L, and Cash Flow.
  • Manage GL integrity, accruals/deferrals, reconciliations (banks, Stripe, partners).

Revenue Recognition & Multi-Entity

  • Apply ASC 606 across on-demand visits, subscriptions, pharmacy/lab rev-share, and B2B SaaS.
  • Perform multi-entity consolidations (OpCo, management company, property LLCs).

Controls, Compliance & Audit Readiness

  • Design and maintain internal controls, approval matrix, policies (AP/expense, capitalization, close checklist).
  • Coordinate with external CPA for tax, audits, and compliance; align with HIPAA/SOC2 processes for finance data flows.

FP&A, Forecasting & Unit Economics

  • Build rolling 12โ€“36 month forecasts and budget vs. actuals.
  • Model unit economics: async/sync units, pooled subscription units, provider cost per unit, margin by service line.
  • Create CEO-ready dashboards: CAC/ROAS, retention, cohorts, gross margin, cash runway.

Systems & Scale

  • Optimize QBO or lead migration to NetSuite/Intacct when appropriate.
  • Own finance stack: Stripe/Chargebee, Bill.com, Gusto/ADP; implement BI dashboards (Looker/Tableau/Power BI/Databox).

Team Leadership

  • Mentor and elevate the current bookkeeper into a Senior Accountant; set SLAs and operating cadence.

What Youโ€™ve Done (Qualifications)

  • 8โ€“12+ years progressive accounting/finance experience with time inside operating companies (not only public/tax).
  • Direct experience in telehealth/healthcare services and SaaS/subscription models.
  • Demonstrated ownership of monthly close, ASC 606, multi-entity consolidation, and internal controls.
  • Proven oversight of multi-state tax compliance and reporting requirements.
  • Advanced Excel/Google Sheets (PowerQuery, complex pivots, scenario modeling).
  • Familiarity with HIPAA considerations for finance data and SOC2 alignment.
  • Tools: QBO or NetSuite/Intacct; Stripe/Chargebee; Bill.com; Gusto/ADP; BI dashboards.
  • CPA preferred (or equivalent rigor); HFMA/CHFP a plus.

Benefits:

  • 401(k) matching
  • Health insurance
  • Paid holidays
  • Paid time off
  • Parental leave
