Job description

We are looking for a hands-on Global Tax Provision – U.S. Compliance Manager to join our global tax organization in a high-impact role supporting the Company’s global tax reporting and compliance agenda in a dynamic multinational environment. This position reports to Vice President Global Tax based outside North America and offers broad exposure across the tax function, combining ownership of key elements of the worldwide income tax provision under ASC 740 with oversight of U.S. federal and state corporate income tax compliance in partnership with external advisors

This is an excellent opportunity for a tax professional who enjoys working at the intersection of technical tax accounting, international coordination, and operational execution, capable of balancing technical depth with execution excellence in a dynamic multinational setting.

This is not a pure advisor-management role; it is designed for someone who is comfortable operating close to the detail, reviewing workpapers, challenging assumptions, and driving quality across the provision and compliance cycle.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee the preparation and review of the quarterly and annual global income tax provision in accordance with ASC 740, including current and deferred taxes, tax account reconciliations, return-to-provision adjustments, footnote and MD&A disclosures, and effective tax rate analysis.
  • Coordinate, review, and consolidate foreign tax provision from international affiliates and outsourced tax advisors, including assessment of local-to-U.S. GAAP tax reporting differences and related supporting documentation.
  • Oversee U.S. federal and state corporate income tax compliance in coordination with external advisors, including review of return packages, extensions, estimated tax payments, and return-to-provision true-ups.
  • Support tax accounting for acquisitions, divestitures, and internal restructurings, including purchase accounting / PPA and integration of acquisition-related tax impacts into the provision process.
  • Partner with Accounting, Controllership, FP&A, international finance teams, external auditors, and tax advisors to ensure accurate reporting, strong governance, and audit readiness.
  • Contribute to the enhancement of SOX/internal controls, tax reporting processes, and documentation standards across the provision and compliance cycle

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Tax, or related field; CPA and/or Master’s in Taxation preferred.
  • 7–10 years of relevant experience, ideally combining public accounting / Big 4 and multinational corporate tax experience.
  • Strong expertise in ASC 740, U.S. GAAP tax accounting, and global income tax provision in a multinational environment.
  • Experience reviewing foreign tax reporting packages and coordinating effectively with international stakeholders and third-party providers
  • Practical experience with U.S. federal and state income tax compliance and managing external tax advisors.
  • Experience with purchase accounting / PPA related to business combinations is required.
  • Familiarity with OneSource or similar tax reporting technologies preferred.
  • A “process improvement” mindset is a plus.
  • Open to work travel on a as needed basis.

Work Model

  • This role is based in USA and offers a flexible work environment and supports a hybrid working with remote candidates in Canada also considered, depending on experience and fit.
  • As a key member of the Global Tax organization, the Global Tax Provision– U.S. Compliance Manager will collaborate regularly with colleagues and business partners across North America, EMEA, APAC and other international locations.
  • Given the global nature of the organization, this role requires a high degree of flexibility in work scheduling and the ability to collaborate effectively across international time zones.
