At Equitable, we help clients secure their financial well-being so they can pursue long and fulfilling lives - a mission we've honed since 1859.
Equitable is seeking a Reinsurance Administration Lead who is passionate about driving operational excellence and delivering accurate, effective reinsurance administration across our life and annuity business. In this key leadership role, you will oversee the end-to-end administration, financial reporting, and execution of our reinsurance arrangements, helping ensure the integrity of critical financial and operational processes that support the organization's broader business objectives.
Working closely with colleagues across Finance, Actuarial, Investments, and Technology, you will serve as a trusted partner and subject matter expert, bringing technical expertise, thoughtful problem-solving, and a continuous improvement mindset to complex reinsurance operations. As the operational owner of reinsurance administration, you will play a vital role in ensuring alignment between treaty provisions, accounting outcomes, and system-generated results. You will also champion strong governance practices by maintaining audit-ready documentation, supporting a robust control environment, and fostering confidence in the quality and reliability of reinsurance reporting. This is an excellent opportunity for a collaborative leader who enjoys working across functions, influencing outcomes, and making a meaningful impact on a highly visible area of the business.
What You'll Be Doing
  • Lead end-to-end administration of reinsurance treaties, including setup, interpretation, and ongoing maintenance
  • Own and coordinate monthly, quarterly, and annual close activities related to reinsurance
  • Review and validate settlement calculations, including revenue sharing, fee components, and ownership-based allocations
  • Perform and oversee reconciliations between administrative systems, investment data, and general ledger outputs
  • Investigate and resolve data discrepancies, variances, and breaks across multiple data sources
  • Maintain and enhance SOX/MAR controls, including documentation and evidence supporting key processes
  • Partner with Actuarial, Finance, Investments, and IT to ensure accurate data flows and reporting alignment
  • Serve as a key contact for internal and external audits
  • Support implementation and enhancement of reinsurance administration platforms
  • Drive process standardization, automation, and efficiency initiatives
  • Provide guidance and mentorship to junior team members
