As a Remote Licensed Mental Health Counselor, your day-to-day responsibilities will include:

• Conducting culturally sensitive and strength-based assessments for new patients and their families to identify key therapeutic needs.
• Providing personalized individual and family therapy sessions that align with the identified needs and goals.
• Completing all required documentation including billing, individualized treatment plans, and insurance authorizations in a timely manner.
• Developing comprehensive crisis and safety plans, as well as relapse prevention strategies to help clients maintain stable functioning.
• Creating discharge plans tailored to patient needs, ensuring a supportive transition out of therapy when appropriate.
• Adhering strictly to federal and state regulations and organizational policies, ensuring compliance in all therapeutic practices.
• Engaging in ongoing professional development through training and continuing education opportunities to maintain licensure and enhance skills.
• Participating actively in case consultations and agency meetings to share insights and foster a collaborative atmosphere.
• Ensuring completion of all licensure and mandatory training as needed.

Your role will encompass working with a diverse patient population in Lowell, Massachusetts. You will engage with individuals from various backgrounds, addressing a range of mental health issues, including anxiety, depression, trauma, and relational challenges. Your culturally sensitive approach will be crucial to establishing trust and facilitating effective therapeutic relationships. By focusing on each client's unique experience, you will help them identify and utilize their strengths on the path to recovery.

• A Master’s degree in social work, counseling, marriage and family therapy, or a closely related field that fulfills licensure requirements.
• Current licensure as a Mental Health Therapist, including LMHC, LMFT, or LICSW within the state of Massachusetts.
