Training Instructor

Full-Time | Exempt | 80–100% Travel | Overnight Travel Required

About the Role

We are seeking a Training Instructor to provide OSHA, safety, HazMat, and confined-space training to customers across a variety of industries. This position requires strong communication and presentation skills, professionalism, and a commitment to maintaining high safety standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct OSHA, safety, HazMat, confined-space, and other customer training programs.
  • Deliver professional and engaging classroom instruction.
  • Stay current on OSHA regulations and industry safety requirements.
  • Coordinate training schedules and communicate with customer contacts.
  • Set up, maintain, and secure training equipment and materials.
  • Complete required equipment and trailer inventories and documentation.
  • Maintain clean, organized training areas.
  • Follow all company SOPs, safety policies, and customer requirements.
  • Communicate customer or operational concerns to the Operations Manager.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
  • Valid Class A CDL required.
  • Minimum 3 years of relevant industry experience preferred.
  • Bachelor's degree preferred; equivalent education and experience considered.
  • Strong public speaking and communication skills.
  • Good organizational and attention-to-detail skills.
  • Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Word and Excel.
  • Ability to learn new software and systems.
  • Ability to pass a company physical and DOT physical.
  • Ability to work in confined spaces, at heights, and outdoors in varying weather conditions.
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs.
  • Ability to wear required PPE, including respirators, hard hats, safety glasses, and safety footwear.
  • Ability and willingness to travel 80–100%, including overnight stays.
  • Availability to work overtime as needed.
