As we continue our accelerated growth trajectory, we are seeking an Assistant General Counsel to work closely with the general counsel to help build and scale the legal department and manage complex legal and regulatory risks across our e-commerce, telehealth, and pharmacy operations. We are looking for an experienced attorney who balances rigorous legal judgment with business pragmatism to build the frameworks and policies that will enable our next phase of global expansion.

What You'll Do
  • Legal Leadership & Governance: Provide high-level advice to executive leadership on complex, high-impact legal and regulatory matters.
  • Strategy & Risk: Establish and scale legal frameworks, policies, and controls aligned with company risk tolerance and growth objectives.
  • Department Management: Lead, mentor, and oversee the legal department, ensuring high-quality work product and professional development.
  • Litigation & Transactions: Oversee critical company transactions and manage litigation matters, including the oversight of outside counsel strategy and budgets.
  • Regulatory Advisory: Proactively advise leadership on evolving regulatory landscapes and associated business risks.
Compliance Frameworks: Maintain and scale corporate compliance programs to ensure adherence to federal and state healthcare laws. 
  • Telehealth Standards: Monitor evolving state medical board regulations, corporate practice of medicine (CPOM) doctrines, and remote prescribing laws to ensure compliance. 
  • Regulatory Advisory: Proactively advise leadership on evolving regulatory landscapes and associated business risks. 
  • Licensing and Accreditation Management: Help oversee and manage the portfolio of accreditations and pharmacy licenses across all operating jurisdictions and coordinate responses to inquiries, audits, and inspections. 
  • FDA Alignment: Provide guidance on FDA regulations and concerning prescription medications, drug labeling, and advertising standards for consumer health platforms. 
  • Privacy & Security: Manage adherence to privacy laws and data security standards governing patient health information. 
  • General Counsel Support: Serve as a trusted partner to the General Counsel, helping prioritize and manage the legal department's workload, including in launching new products and in new territories. 
Qualifications
Education & Experience
  • Education: Juris Doctor (JD) from an ABA-accredited law school with an active bar membership.
  • Experience: 7+ years of legal regulatory or compliance experience, ideally in the telehealth /
    compounding pharmacy space.
  • Operations: Proven experience managing regulatory inquiries and compliance frameworks within a
    fast-paced, regulated environment.
  • Specialization: Deep experience of healthcare regulatory laws and compliance, such as state and
    federal pharmacy laws, e-commerce regulations, telehealth, corporate practice of medicine, and
    privacy.
