Key Responsibilities

In this role, you will be responsible for:

  • Documenting clinical notes and progress in patient records while ensuring compliance with HIPAA regulations to uphold patient confidentiality and care standards.
  • Working collaboratively with interdisciplinary team members to coordinate care, discussing treatment plans in case consultation meetings, and implementing any necessary adjustments.
  • Educating patients and their families about mental health issues, treatment options, and available community resources to empower them during the treatment process.
  • Staying informed on the latest research in mental health and hospice care practices to continuously enhance your clinical skills and knowledge.
Patient Population / Client Focus

You will primarily work with patients facing end-of-life challenges, creating individualized care plans that address not only their mental health needs but also their emotional and familial dynamics. The focus is on providing compassionate support and guidance to both patients and their families, ensuring they navigate this significant chapter with peace and understanding.

Qualifications

  • A Master's degree in Social Work from an accredited institution.
  • A valid license to practice as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) in Florida.
  • At least 3 years of clinical experience, ideally within mental health or hospice care settings, demonstrating proficiency in psychotherapy.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of therapeutic interventions and techniques aimed at delivering solution-based care.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, facilitating effective interactions with patients, families, and team members.
  • Effective critical thinking abilities to assess patient situations and propose appropriate treatment solutions.
  • A team-oriented mindset with the ability to work efficiently alongside other healthcare providers.
Preferred Experience

Experience within a hospice care setting is highly valued as it directly contributes to your understanding of the unique emotional and psychological needs of patients dealing with terminal diagnoses. Familiarity with evidence-based practices in mental health care will enhance your effectiveness in this role.

Compensation and Benefits

Your dedication and expertise will be rewarded with a competitive salary ranging from USD 80,000 to 100,000 per year, as well as an excellent benefits package, which includes:

  • Comprehensive medical, dental, and vision insurance.
  • Access to life and disability insurance.

  • Employee assistance program focused on mental health support and counseling services.
  • Paid professional liability insurance.
  • Unlimited patient referrals, providing a steady flow of clients to maintain a full caseload.
  • A streamlined administrative process with minimal paperwork, allowing you to focus on direct patient care.
