• Conduct thorough assessments of clients to evaluate mental health and substance use issues, ensuring accurate identification of co-occurring disorders.
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans in collaboration with clients, merging evidence-based practices with personal insights to promote effective recovery strategies.
• Facilitate both individual and group therapy sessions, equipping clients with essential coping mechanisms, relapse prevention techniques, and strategies for emotional regulation.
• Collaborate with our multidisciplinary team to ensure integrated care, coordinating effective communication and treatment options that address the unique needs of each client.
• Monitor substance use regularly, employing motivational interviewing techniques to empower clients in their recovery journeys.
• Provide educational sessions for clients and their families regarding the relationship between mental health and substance use and the importance of adhering to treatment protocols.
• Maintain precise and timely documentation of therapy progress, interventions, and referrals, adhering to ethical and legal standards.
• Engage in regular staff meetings, case conferences, and professional training opportunities to enhance understanding and treatment methodologies related to co-occurring disorders.

This role primarily focuses on individuals with co-occurring mental health and substance use disorders, whose complexities require nuanced and compassionate approaches. You will work with clients from diverse backgrounds, many facing significant social and economic challenges, and your interventions will directly impact their paths to recovery.

• Master's or doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.
• Current and valid licensure as an LCSW, LMHC, or LMFT in the state of Florida is mandatory.
• Proficient in evidence-based therapeutic techniques designed for co-occurring disorders, including Integrated Dual Diagnosis Treatment and Motivational Interviewing.
• A strong grasp of how mental health and substance use disorders intertwine, with the ability to effectively assess and address both.
• Exceptional interpersonal skills, demonstrating the ability to collaborate effectively within an interdisciplinary team.

• A minimum of two years of clinical experience working with co-occurring mental health and substance use disorders in an outpatient setting.
• Familiarity with electronic health records (EHR) systems to manage client documentation efficiently.
